This is your time to relax.
Please do not listen to this whilst driving or using machinery.
Make yourself comfortable now either laying down or seated somewhere quiet.
You may hear other sounds,
Voices around you.
That's fine.
They will travel with you on a journey of relaxation.
So when you're ready,
Close your eyes and just be aware of your breathing.
Breathing down into the base of your stomach and tracing your breath up,
Up through your body and out through your nose or through your mouth,
Letting go.
Tracing your breathing.
You will now breathe in calmness.
Breathe out calmness.
As your eyes are closed and your body is starting to relax now,
In your mind imagine a colour.
Maybe your favourite colour.
This is your colour of relaxation.
If you can,
Imagine that colour in between your eyebrows flowing up to your hairline across your forehead.
See that colour getting richer and deeper.
And allow that colour to start flowing through your scalp,
Through your hair,
Down through the back of your neck,
Across your shoulders,
Allowing your shoulders to drop.
Relax.
As the colour now flows down through your eyes,
Making your eyes sleepier and heavier down through your cheeks,
Allowing your tongue to fall from the roof of your mouth as your jaw drops,
Your face relaxed.
As your colour of relaxation now flows down through your chest,
Down through your arms and out through your fingertips,
Notice how heavy your body is becoming.
There is nothing you need to do now,
Nowhere you need to be.
Just allow your colour of relaxation to flow down through your stomach,
Relaxing your body,
Releasing pain down through your legs,
Your knees,
Calves and out through your feet.
As you lay now relaxed,
Listening to the sound of my voice,
The sound of the music.
You can drift and float wherever you need to go,
That's fine.
But the more your mind tries not to relax,
The quicker and deeper you relax now.
In a moment I'm going to count down from 10 to 1.
On the count of 1,
Your mind will become open but your body will become heavier,
Deeper,
More relaxed,
No desire to move a muscle.
That's fine.

Deeper,

There's nothing you need to do now,
Nowhere you need to be.

Drifting down,

Your eyes sleepier,
Heavier,

Deeper relaxed,
You are now totally relaxed.
Good.
In your mind you can now imagine a very heavy oak door in front of you.
It is closed but very soon you are going to walk through that door and find yourself in a beautiful old country garden.
So when you're ready,
Using your mind you push the door open,
Push with your mind and easily you step through,
Closing the old door of your ordinary life behind you.
You look around and find yourself in the most beautiful garden you've ever seen.
There are terracotta tubs overflowing with herbs and wild flowers.
Butterflies are landing on the beautiful coloured flowers.
You breathe in the fragrance.
It instantly makes you feel more comfortable and relaxed.
You can hear the songs of the hummingbirds in the trees.
Some of the trees have formed an archway over a path which leads further into the garden.
You decide to walk through the shaded archway and back into the sunshine.
There is an old wheelbarrow filled with flowers.
A bird table.
You can see the birds diving down into the water and drinking.
Large bumblebees pollinate the flowers.
There are purple fox gloves,
Bright crimson fuchsias,
Their delicate heads hanging over,
Orange marigolds and feathery green ferns.
You notice the ivy covering the trees and the trellises.
A head,
A summer house is snuggled behind the tree.
You feel very comfortable here.
It's a beautiful place full of peace and serenity.
You find yourself drifting deeper and deeper into a calm relaxation.
With every step you take into the garden you notice there are five little steps leading down to a secluded area away from the rest of the world.
You can hear the sound of trickling water.
You notice it comes from a water fountain.
You are drawn to the glistening water.
You decide to take those five steps down one by one.
One by one.
One by one.
And as you go down you feel yourself drifting deeper still.
You walk over to the fountain and cup your hands.
You are thirsty and the water here is clean and fresh.
It comes from a natural underground spring and is the purest water you'll ever taste.
You can imagine it trickling through the little gaps between your fingers.
And you drink just a little.
The water travels down through your throat,
Down through your body,
Cleansing,
Dissolving all old energy,
All blockages.
You cup your hands once again and drink more of this magical natural water.
You are ready to release old pain.
You are ready to release old emotions.
You are ready to release old pain.
You are ready to release old emotions.
You are ready to release old pain.
So you can imagine the water purifying every cell of your body,
Dissolving the old.
Your body is starting to feel cleaner,
Refreshed,
Healthier,
Good.
When you have had enough you decide to find somewhere to rest.
You lay on the soft warm grass nearby and just feel the warmth of the sun on your face,
A gentle breeze on your skin.
Your eyes close and you gently drift into a beautiful dream.
Here you dream of a wonderful memory that you can travel in your own time,
In your own way.
A time where you felt healthy,
Young,
And you felt healthy.
As you relax and enjoy your dream you are awakening all positive memories,
Feelings in your mind and your body.
Awakening all positive memories,
Feelings in your body.
Maybe there are loved ones in your memories,
Maybe beautiful scenery,
But this is a time of happiness.
Your mind is clear,
Your body is relaxed and you can just be,
Just be,

Your unconscious mind is aware by drinking the magical water you have dissolved all pain,
All old emotions,
Tension from your body.
You are going to feel healthier,
Stronger,
Happier,
Lighter.
This is a permanent suggestion on your mind and every day your unconscious mind will work in harmony with your conscious mind and that's fine.
Use this time now to just be,

Listen to the music and allow your mind and body to absorb these positive changes and you will continue to relax now whilst you drift into a beautiful sleep and wake up in the morning when you are ready feeling refreshed,
