Welcome and thank you for joining me in this sacred moment to reconnect with yourself.
I'm Samantha Noble and today we'll focus on grounding into your physical body,
Building a deeper awareness of your inner and outer self.
This practice will help you feel anchored,
Present and connected to the truth of who you are.
As you settle into a comfortable position,
Allow your eyes to gently close.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly release it through your mouth.
Bring your attention to the surface beneath you.
Feel the points of contact where your body meets the chair,
Mat or bed.
Notice the texture,
The firmness or the softness.
Let this sensation remind you that you are supported,
Held and safe.
Now,
Direct your awareness to your feet.
Imagine them growing heavier with each breath,
As if they are sinking into the earth beneath you.
Picture roots extending from the soles of your feet,
Anchoring you deeply into the ground.
These roots connect you to the earth's steady,
Nurturing energy,
Reminding you that you belong here.
Let's gently scan the body,
Bringing awareness to each part without judgment.
Start at the top of your head.
Notice any sensations here,
Perhaps a sense of warmth,
Coolness or even stillness.
Move your attention to your face,
Soften your forehead,
Clench your jaw and let your tongue rest lightly in your mouth.
With each exhale,
Feel tension melting away.
Shift your focus to your shoulders.
Are they holding tension?
If so,
Imagine them softening,
Dropping away from your airs.
Feel the weight of the world slipping off your shoulders.
Continue this journey through your arms,
Hands,
Chest and belly.
Pause here for a moment and notice the gentle rise and fall of your breath.
Feel the life force within you,
Steady and constant.
Bring your attention to your hips,
Thighs and knees.
What sensations do you notice?
Simply observe without needing to change anything.
Finally,
Focus on your lower legs,
Ankles and feet.
Feel their connection to the ground,
Their strength and their steadiness.
Now that we've connected to the physical body,
Let's engage the senses.
Start with your sense of touch.
Feel the temperature of the air on your skin.
Notice the weight of your clothing or the texture of the surface beneath you.
Next,
Bring your awareness to sound.
What do you hear around you?
Perhaps it's the sound of your breath,
The hum of a distant noise,
Or the quiet of the space you're in.
Simply notice without labeling or judging.
Now,
Focus on your sense of smell.
Is there a fragrance or freshness in the air?
Take a deep breath and allow this sense to ground you further into the present moment.
Bring your awareness now to the center of your chest,
Your heart space.
Place a hand gently over your heart,
If that feels comfortable,
And feel the warmth beneath your palm,
The steady rhythm of your heartbeat.
With each breath,
Imagine a gentle light glowing here,
Expanding with every inhale and radiating outward with every exhale.
This light connects your physical body to your authentic self.
It reminds you that your truth resides,
Not just in your mind,
But in the very core of your being.
As we rest in this space,
Take a moment to repeat silently or aloud,
I am grounded.
I am present.
My body is my home.
Feel the truth of these words settling into your body,
Anchoring you into the here and now.
As we come to the end of this meditation,
Begin to gently awaken your body.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes,
Feeling the energy of your grounded self alive within you.
Roll your shoulders or stretch if that feels good to you.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes,
Taking in the space around you with fresh awareness.
Carry this sense of presence and connection with you as you move through your day.
Thank you for joining me in this practice.
