Hello beautiful souls.

Welcome to my heart.

This is my reading of my poem I Intrigue You.

I write poetry to make sense of, express, and capture how I feel, in any given experience, as I make my way through this life.

Some of the things I experience in life can be very hard to logically explain, but poetry doesn't, and has never, needed to be logical.

What my poetry means to me may be very different from what it means to you. Such is the beauty of art.

I hope it touches you, in the way you need to be touched, in this very moment.

I intrigue you and you don't know why I appear in your dreams as a question,

As a longing.

Who is this girl that has me scratching at my skin,

Wanting to tear it off?

This girl who appears as a magnet for my eyes,

Where did she come from,

What does she want?

The questions circle around and around,

Peace.

You remember what that felt like before the raging storm took hold.
