Coming home to the ground.
A root chakra meditation for you and your animal companion.
Find a comfortable position.
Either sitting or laying down.
And close your eyes gently.
And begin turning your attention inwards.
Bring your awareness to the present moment and notice the contact of your body with the surface beneath you.
And allow yourself to arrive fully.
In the present.
Right here,
Right now.
And let your body settle into this place that you're holding.
There's no need to make anything happen.
Let this be a quiet homecoming.
And just inhale deeply.
And when you exhale,
Slowly relax your body.
And then when you inhale.
And exhale,
Relax.
Your shoulders.
Soften your belly.
And let your whole being hear this.
I am safe in this moment.
I am supported.
I belong here.
And just notice your breath and your body as you let these words sink in.
Gently place your hands on your lower abdomen.
Let them rest in your lab.
Or Keep them at your side.
Whatever you choose is perfect.
Allow your hands to rest softly.
Feeling the warmth they create.
And even for now,
If your hands are on your side.
Just notice how the energy starts to flow,
How the warmth starts to flow.
Where you are right now is perfect.
Raki doesn't need to be forced.
Healing does not need pressure.
Love knows how to travel.
Just follow your breath.
And notice the sensations.
The sensations in your belly and your pelvis.
In your chest,
In your arms.
And just connect with the question,
Am I safe?
Do I belong here?
Is there enough ground beneath me?
And just bring kindness here.
Your own kindness.
And if your mind wanders.
That's okay.
Just return back to your breath.
Imagine a soft,
Deep red light beneath your hand.
Not bright or sharp.
It's like a warm ember in the earth.
A steady red light.
A quiet root light.
Breathing in the warmth.
And breathing out,
Softening.
Breathing in support.
And breathing out,
Release.
Let this light move through your lower body into the earth.
Let it move down through the legs.
Through the knees.
Through the ankles.
Through the soles of your feet,
Into the earth beneath you.
Imagine the roots extending from you into the earth,
Connecting you with support.
The Earth does not ask you to explain why you are tired.
The Earth doesn't ask you to prove that you are worthy of support.
The Earth simply holds you.
Trust the Earth to hold you,
As you are.
And just pause here and feel the groundedness.
Within you,
The quiet flow of Reiki.
Let your hands soften even more over the lower belly and the pelvis.
And begin to imagine that the Reiki flowing through your hands is not trying to fix you.
It is simply loving what is weighted for love.
It's warming the places it had become.
Strong to sue.
It's soothing the places that learned to brace.
It's whispering to the roots of your being.
You are safe here.
You belong here.
You may rest now.
And perhaps in this root space.
You become aware of something old.
Not necessarily a memory or a story,
Maybe it's just a feeling.
A tightness,
A heaviness.
Of watchfulness.
A sense of needing to be ready.
Or a sense of not fully landing in the body.
Presents.
Just meet it gently.
Because there's nothing wrong with you.
Some of this is personal,
Some of it is inherited.
Some was passed down through families,
Through survival,
Through silence.
Through bodies that did not have enough safety to soften.
And today you do not need to untangle it at all.
You do not need to know where it began.
You're only here to bring warmth.
Warmth with your hands,
With your breath.
With Reiki,
And with kindness.
And imagine the red light beneath your hand growing steadier.
And just connect with these words within yourself.
The fear that is mine,
I bring compassion.
The fear that is not mine,
I bring release.
To the generations before me,
I bring peace.
To the life moving through me now,
I bring love.
And let the earth receive what your body is ready to put down.
Not all at once,
Only what is ready.
Only what can leave with ease.
Let's bring your awareness to your animal companion.
If they are physically with you,
Simply notice them.
Their breath,
Their body,
Their presence.
And if they're not beside you,
Imagine them resting in a soft field of light near your heart.
You do not need to send anything without permission.
You simply offer.
Gently,
Silently,
From your heart,
You ask,
Would you like to receive some of this grounding Reiki?
And then this end.
And trust.
What is coming,
What you're sensing.
A yes may feel like softness.
And no one may feel like distance.
And maybe I feel like stillness.
All are sacred.
We honor the animal's choice.
And if it feels welcome,
Imagine the same right lead.
Now forming beneath your animal companion,
At the base of their spine,
Around their hips,
Through the legs or paws.
And through the place where their body meets the earth.
Don't push,
Allow the light to be available.
Like a red blanket of safety.
A warm field of belonging.
And just whisper to them,
You are here,
Safe.
You belong here.
You are loved.
And perhaps your animal carries their own root story.
A rescue story.
A birth story.
A memory from before you knew them.
A sensitivity.
That they have arrived with.
Or something older still,
Carried through their line.
You do not need to know the whole story to love them.
You do not need to understand every fear to become a steady presence.
Just breathe.
Let your body become slower.
Let your energy become kinder.
And let your root settle so that their root can feel the invitation.
Breathing in,
I come home to myself.
And breathing out,
I offer calm.
Imagine roots growing from both of you.
Roots and your animals resting near each other in kind earth.
Two beings.
Two souls.
To nervous systems.
Both learning that safety can be gentle.
Both learning that love does not have to rush.
And both learning at home can be felt in the body.
And let Reiki continue to flow through your hands,
Through your breath.
Through the fields around you.
It gently moves between you and your animal companion.
As a blessing.
A blessing of trust.
A blessing of calm.
A blessing of belonging.
And then slowly start to began to connect with your breath in a deeper form.
Start connecting with the sounds around you.
And think the Reiki flowing through this moment.
Thank you,
Party.
Thank the Earth.
Thank your animal companion,
Whether near or far,
For walking this life beside you.
In their own beautiful way.
And when you are ready,
Return your attention to the room.
Notice your body,
Your breath,
And the surface beneath you.
Feel your hands,
Feet and breath as you gently return.
And if your hands are still over your lower abdomen and pelvis,
Gently lift them when you're ready.
You may place one hand over your heart and one over your lower belly and notice the breath moving in and out.
And if your hands are still resting here.
.
.
Just take a final breath and let the heart and the roots speak together.
Let love travel downwards and let safety rise upward.
You are allowed to belong right here,
In this body,
On this earth.
With your animal beside you.
Here in spirit,
In presence,
Or in love.
And just for today,
Be kind to every living thing.
Beginning at the very root of who you are.
And when you open your eyes,
Carry the sense.
Of grounding within you.
Welcome back.
And welcome home.
And Reiki supports,
But does not replace,
Professional care.
