My dear friend,
Let this moment be simple.
If it's safe for you to do so,
Allow your eyes to close.
Or just soften your gaze.
Feel where your body is supported.
Feel the weight of your bones.
Feel the quiet truth of gravity.
Not pulling you down,
But bringing you home.
Take a really slow breath in.
And a longer breath out.
Let's do it again.
Take a long breath in.
And a long breath out.
Let this inhale and exhale really be your first yes,
Your committing to your breath.
And from here,
Start to bring your awareness to your feet,
Your ankles,
Your calves,
And let your legs grow pleasantly heavy.
Like they were waiting all day for permission to land.
Feel your thighs,
Your hips,
Your lower back.
And place one hand on your belly and one hand on your heart.
And gently say to yourself,
I am here.
I'm safe enough in this moment.
I can soften.
No pushing,
No fixing,
Just unriding.
In this place,
We are going to create our beautiful circle,
A steady,
Protective,
Quiet.
Our dragon tonight,
The Balsalt Brute Earth Dragon,
Is going to hold all the different positions.
Like in ancient guardians taking their place around your energy field.
Take a breath in and feel the space around your body becoming clear.
In the east,
We invite the beautiful Balsalt Brute Earth Dragon to stand at dawn light.
Not bright,
Not loud,
Just the beginning of calm.
Her dark,
Balsalt Dragon presence,
Still as stone,
Awake as the earth.
In the west,
To guard your mind and bring me one clear breath at a time.
To the south,
She settles like a warm stone near a hearth.
Soft,
Steady,
Warmth in the belly of life.
To guard my energy,
To gather me back from the day.
To the west,
She rests at the mouth of a deep cave.
The place where emotions can be quiet and the inner world can be held gently.
To guard my heart and let what is heavy be met with softness.
To the north,
She becomes a mountain spine,
Strong,
Dependable,
Unmovable.
She guards my boundaries and let my body remember it can rest.
Above,
She stretches across the sky ancient Balsalt plates,
A dark canopy of protection.
She holds me,
Let my thoughts drift like clouds.
And below,
Beneath your feet,
Beneath the floor,
She coils deep into the earth.
Not too tight,
Not too forceful,
Just present,
Just rooted.
Anchor me,
Make the ground unmistakably real.
Can I just feel the circle,
The east,
The south,
West and north,
Above and below.
A sacred geometry of steadiness.
You are held.
Imagine that any scattered energy,
Any pieces of you left in conversations,
In worries,
In errands,
In all thoughts,
Begin to return.
No effort,
Like soft sparks of light drifting back into your chest,
Your belly,
Your hips,
Your legs.
The dragon does not chase your energy,
It simply calls it home.
Breathe in and feel yourself gathering,
And breathe out and feel yourself settling.
If the mind tries to plan,
Simply whisper,
Not now,
And return back to the weight of your body.
Let your breath become even slower,
Feel your jaw unclench,
Feel your tongue soften,
And feel your shoulders drop.
And as the dragon holds the circle,
Sense the earth beneath you offering this message.
You don't have to hold everything.
You don't have to solve anything tonight.
Rest is allowed.
And if sleep comes,
Let it come.
If it doesn't,
Let rest be enough.
Either way,
You're doing perfectly.
Then just take a moment to be in this place.
Feel your connection with the dragon,
And feel its presence holding for you.
If something wants to come,
It comes.
And otherwise,
Let yourself just drift in the relaxation.
I'm going to speak less,
So your body can speak more.
In this sacred circle,
The Balsalt Root Earth Dragon remains in the directions.
Protective,
Quiet,
Constant.
Let your thoughts drift.
You can let your breath deepen.
And the dragon offers you one gentle phrase.
One thing at a time.
One breath at a time.
I am here.
I am held.
And slowly start to heading back to your breath.
Take a moment to reconnect with this beautiful dragon,
And take a moment to say your thanks.
Thank you for the calming energy.
Thank you for the supportive words.
Slowly start to move your body.
You can begin with wiggling your fingers or your toes.
Rolling your shoulders.
Have a deep in-breath.
Slowly open your eyes.
Welcome back.
And welcome home.
