Hey love,

Thank you for making time to reconnect here and most importantly thank yourself.

Today's meditation is on letting go of idealizing relationships.

Go ahead and take a comfortable position if you haven't already.

And let's start by taking a deep inhale and exhale while counting to 5 for both.

And inhale,

1,

2,

3,

4,

5.

And exhale,

1,

2,

3,

4,

5.

And go ahead and do this for a few times as you become more comfortable in this moment.

Tune in to how you feel.

Making space for all of your emotions.

And it's all okay.

Notice your system slowing down.

The emotions today are excessively shown in the media which can lead to creating unrealistic expectations of people and what being in a relationship is like.

If only we were taught that the number one relationship we need to focus on is with ourselves.

If we learn about ourselves,

We know what we need and what we don't want in a relationship.

No relationship can complete us.

We complete ourselves.

If love is faith,

Then why worry and focus so much on it?

And well,

If love isn't in the cards for us,

Then may the universe,

Source,

And or God give us the strength to get through the hard days.

If we are focusing on loving ourselves,

Therefore loving others and being open to all relationships,

Including friendships,

Then ultimately our love will exude and it will be inspiring,

Attractive and motivating to others.

Following our hearts,

Dreams and passions can effortlessly lead us to relationships we could never dream of.

Let's learn to let go because the truth is we can plan and dream the life we desire,

But it will ultimately never unfold as we imagined.

Now if your mind wanders,

Just come back to the breath.

Remember relationships grow over time.

The idea of love at first sight can create idealizing.

And the idea of the one can create pressure.

And well,

Let go of the what ifs.

Let actions of friendships over time lead you into love.

Intimate relationships are a balance of give and take.

Knowing who you are,

Your worth and your values are essential.

Anxiety can be mistaken for butterflies,

When in reality anxiety can be a signal of how your body is not ready,

Where you may need to take a step back and protect yourself and learn more about yourself.

Anxiety can be a healthy mechanism.

Now let's take a moment to come back to the breath.

And inhale I am and exhale love.

And do this for a few times.

You are right where you need to be.

There is no set time for love,

To be love and to find love.

If your mind wanders,

Just come back to the affirmation I am love.

Now imagine getting to know a friend,

The freedom and joy of getting to know someone with no labels,

No ideas of who we think they are.

Instead let them show themselves to you.

This takes time as anything beautiful does like nature.

What do you look for in a partner?

What does it mean to be a whole person?

Find what you wish to find.

Remember that no one is perfect nor are we.

Be compassionate about their mistakes as you would be compassionate to your mistakes too.

Your mistakes don't define you nor do their mistakes define them too.

Let's redefine what relationships mean to us,

Not what we see or hear.

Let's let go of society's pressures of time.

Let's look inside and think of the beautiful men and women who have inspired us and who carry characteristics we look for in friendships and relationships.

Let's look at relationships with a new perspective,

Like a child with joy and an open heart,

Like a bird who is free,

Along with all we have learned so far.

Use this meditation when you feel the need to reframe and reprogram idealizing thoughts of relationships.

This is your safe circle.

Thank you for making time to reconnect here and most importantly,

Thank yourself.

Namaste.
