Hey there loves,
Thank you for making time to reconnect here and most importantly,
Think yourself.
Today's meditation is on accepting love and pleasures.
I welcome you to create a mood and an intention for yourself today if you haven't already,
Even with candles and or crystals or anything that is calling to you to really send the message to yourself that you matter.
Now find a comfortable position,
Laying down or you're back against a wall.
Let's start by imagining you are holding a candle.
Take a long breath in and slowly blow the air out towards the candle,
Making the candle flame move as if you're almost going to blow it out,
But not quite.
Keep it lit.
And again,
Long breath in and slowly breathe out towards the candle.
Again,
Long breath in and slowly breathe out.
And do this a few times to yourself.
When you feel pulled by the mind,
Use the breath as an anchor to come back to the present moment.
And now,
Take one last long breath in and now blow the candle out.
From history,
Gods and Goddesses of feminine energy have been suppressed in so many ways,
Particularly when it comes to sexuality and what it means to embrace our own sexuality.
Because feminine Gods and Goddesses were seen as a threat when they were able to take their own sexuality into their own hands.
They were powerful.
As if the Gods and Goddesses of feminine energies assertiveness about sex would prevent others from their own sexual desires being met.
Today,
In so many cultures,
Even in the West,
Gods and Goddesses of feminine energy are still condemned to express their sexuality and pleasure from a young age,
Which can result in situations that hurt them more than strengthen them,
Without the knowledge and education of taking their own pleasures and sexuality into their own hands.
Let's challenge the ideas of what sex means to us,
Because our own self-pleasure changes how we feel about sex.
Because our own self-love towards ourselves makes a difference in how we feel about ourselves,
As well as how we treat and talk to ourselves with love also matters.
In the 21st century,
All past beliefs of sex,
Sexuality and virginity are constructs and are a result of domestication and self-domestication.
Let's let go of all those beliefs because they no longer serve us and they only hold us back from achieving our full healing potential within ourselves.
To learn about anything that scares us,
Gives us confidence in ourselves and in our own bodies,
It is immensely powerful.
And this meditation is to inspire you to take your own pleasures,
Sexuality and sexual pleasures into your own hands,
Creating your own beliefs.
Let's take a few moments to connect to our breath,
Focusing on releasing all past beliefs of pleasure and sexuality.
Go ahead and breathe in slowly,
Counting to five,
Feeling the openness and expression of love towards yourself.
And exhale slowly,
Counting to five,
Releasing all past beliefs of domestication and self-domestication that no longer serves you.
This is your time and you deserve to create a sacred,
Safe space for yourself to explore the pleasures of life.
Let's take another slow,
Deep breath in,
Counting to five,
Feeling the expansion of the belly.
And again,
Exhaling slowly,
Counting to five,
Feeling the deflation of the belly as you feel yourself becoming lighter and lighter of past beliefs with each breath you release.
Do this a few times to yourself,
Feeling your body grow heavier as you relax more into this present moment,
Knowing that you will achieve all your desires and pleasures by putting in the work and time.
Maybe slowly,
But rest assured,
All will make a difference in your confidence and love towards yourself.
Let's take another slow,
Deep breath in,
Counting to five,
Feeling the expansion of the belly.
If your mind wanders,
It's okay.
It's in the mind's nature to wander.
See the mind as a child who wants to run away and play and just gently bring yourself back to the present moment and all the expressions of love towards yourself.
Let's take another slow,
Deep breath in,
Counting to five,
Feeling your emotions and beliefs as you breathe into the mind.
Society wants us to believe that we need others to feel complete.
However,
To feel and experience pleasure with ourselves first opens up a door unimaginable.
In our reach,
Never forget the power you hold of expressing your pleasures,
Sexuality and love towards yourself,
Giving you all the confidence of what your body finds pleasurable when you experience pleasure with another.
Not only does loving ourselves allow us to accept love from others,
But practicing acceptance of self-pleasure also allows us to accept pleasures from others as well.
It doesn't matter what age you are or what gender you are,
It is never too late to explore the pleasures of life.
Trauma can also prevent us from expressing our sexuality and experiencing the pleasures of life,
Including pleasures with ourselves and others.
You are not broken.
You are not a liability.
You are not unfixable.
Be kind and patient with yourself,
One step at a time.
You will grow.
You will flourish before your eyes as you challenge and explore all the pleasures with the one person you feel safest with,
Yourself.
Watch all the beliefs of domestication and self-domestication fade away as you create a new belief system that resonates with you,
Which will also change over time.
Trauma doesn't get a voice in the media,
Therefore it can make us feel alone.
This meditation is dedicated to you to remind you that you are not alone in this,
And small steps have big impacts when it comes to self-love and self-care.
Just do the next right thing.
Take a step,
Step again,
And there is the next right thing.
And that is all it takes to experience growth,
Joy,
Focus,
Calm,
And peace again.
Now let's take a moment to come back to the breath,
Slowly breathing in compassion,
Peace,
And love towards yourself.
And slowly breathing out any final old beliefs or conditioning still lingering that no longer serve you.
Go ahead and do this for a few times to yourself,
Keeping in mind the previous breathing practice of counting to five as you breathe in and breathe out.
Take a moment.
Really embrace the sacred expression of love and feel the openness of your heart expanding more and more towards yourself.
You will also embrace the sacred expression of love and feel the openness of your heart expanding more and more towards yourself.
If your mind wanders,
Just compassionately come back to your breath and all the expressions of love towards yourself.
Now,
Let's come back to the body,
Moving your toes and fingers.
And when it feels most comfortable,
Open your eyes.
Maybe even take in a few moments to journal any thoughts that come up during this meditation and you can reflect on your progress over time.
This meditation was inspired by the book,
Sex for One,
The Joy of Self-Loving by Betty Dudson.
This is your safe circle.
You are doing a great job and forgive yourself now for not being perfect if you haven't already.
Be kind to yourself.
Thank you for making time to reconnect here and most importantly,
Thank yourself.
Namaste.
