This is for January 2026.
Well,
Already this year feels like a deep,
Deep,
Deep sense of relief.
I feel it everywhere,
I feel it from everybody,
And I just feel it in general.
All the energy that has been buzzing about the ending of 2025.
So welcome!
We're now into January 2026 and our monthly card is the seven of coins.
I love this card because this card is not about pushing hard.
It's truly about pausing after all the effort that we have been putting in.
If you know a little bit about the Chinese lunar calendar,
Last year we were working with the year of the snake,
Which is all about shedding anything that is no longer wanted and needed.
It made for a really rough year for most of us and most of us are welcoming in the year of the firehorse,
Which begins in mid-February.
And the firehorse is all about passion and intensity and transformation and boldness,
But it's not about being reckless.
It's about balancing and making sure that you're being intentional with your choices,
With your energy,
How you're showing up in the world.
So if we take a look at this,
The seven of coins is just letting things work beautifully,
Even if it's slow.
January,
We're still part of the year of the snake,
So think of it as the ending,
The shedding,
The very last bit of the tail of a snake.
It doesn't have to be hard,
It doesn't have to be rushed,
It's going to fall away no matter what you do.
So choose how you are for the month of January.
How do you want to end this cycle?
Because this is what's most important as we begin a new cycle in February.
So trust the process.
I keep hearing this feeling,
This thought of choosing sustainability over burnout.
Can you pull back that energy and allow it to happen?
Allow everything to mature instead of focusing on the outcome.
Forcing.
Forcing is what we're trying to avoid.
So bringing this in with the two tarot cards of the year,
In 2026 we have two overall tarot cards,
Which are the wheel of fortune and the magician.
This is really fate meeting agency.
It's about timing,
Meeting intention.
It's about opportunities moving,
But only when they're meeting us halfway.
Because this is not a passive year,
But this is also not a force it year.
What do I mean by this?
So if I step back and I think about seven of coins,
This is really about reviewing what actually is working.
It's being honest about all the effort you have put in and seeing what is left to grow.
Often we see this card as depending on what deck you're using,
But there are usually seven coins and a person is looking at them.
It's almost as if it's a garden and there's vegetables or fruits.
They're not quite ripe yet,
So you don't want to pick it,
But you do want to tend to it.
Love it,
Give it the food it needs,
Give it the water it needs,
And wait until it is ready to be picked.
So January 2026,
We're not needing to start over.
We don't need to rush,
But we do need to be honest.
We need to ensure that we're working with our timing versus forcing the timing.
Obviously we all have free will,
So you're welcome to treat January in any which way you want,
But it is asking us if we can simply notice all the things that we have been working so hard for.
Can you pause before you reap the benefits?
Because if you just let it mature just a little bit longer,
It could be even more.
So as we're entering into January 2026,
I know so many of us are so excited,
So excited to have a new year,
But this is asking us to pause.
Just notice and allow yourself to have that sense of gratitude,
That sense of accomplishment,
Because you have worked so hard.
Let yourself rest for the moment and then we'll gear up for the rest of 2026.
