Welcome to your 10 minute chakra balancing meditation.

Find a comfortable place to be.

Whether you are seated or lying down,

Make sure you're as comfortable as possible.

And once you are there,

I want you to bring your focus in on your breath.

Breathing in through your nose,

Holding it at the top for a mere moment,

And then exhaling through your mouth.

Breathe in.

Hold.

Exhale.

Breathe in.

Hold.

Exhale.

Breathe in.

Hold.

Exhale.

Hold.

And exhale.

Ahhhhhh.

Continue this breath throughout the whole meditation.

And if at any time your mind wanders off,

As it probably will,

And that is completely okay,

I want you to come back to your breath.

It is completely normal for our mind to wander.

As long as we know how to get back to the present moment.

Our meditation is about balancing our chakras.

And chakra means wheel,

Wheel of energy.

We have seven different chakras along our spine.

And they are free,

Flowing,

Vibrant forms of energy.

When one gets blocked,

It affects how the energy goes to the rest.

So as I give you a description on each of our chakras,

Notice which one really resonates with you.

For that will be the one that we will meditate on together.

We start at the base of the spine,

Our root chakra.

This is known as our mula darha.

It is the color red.

This is where we are grounded and have connection with the earth.

It is also where our basic needs are met.

It is where our need for food,

For shelter,

Finances and safety are held.

When this is not blocked,

We can move up to our sacral chakra.

This is located two inches below the navel.

It is called swadhisthana and its color is orange.

This is all about abundance and opening up your creativity.

This is also where new beginnings start.

Moving up past the navel,

We go into our solar plexus.

Manipura and its color is a vibrant yellow.

Transformation is where this is located.

This is also where we hold our confidence and self-worth for without either of those,

Transformation is not available to us.

Moving up to our heart center,

Our anahata.

The color is a beautiful green.

And even though this is known for love,

It's known for forgiveness,

Compassion,

Peace and yes,

Love for everyone but also ourselves.

It's quite important because this is the bridge between our upper and lower chakras.

When this is blocked,

The energy flowing through stops.

Moving up,

We go right to our throat,

The vishuddha,

And the color is light blue.

This chakra is about expression.

This is how we show ourselves to the world.

How we make known our needs,

Our wants and our desires.

Moving to our third eye,

This is located in between the brow.

It is known as the agnya.

And this has also been called the eye of the soul,

For this is where intuition lies.

It is our conscious choice maker as we see and feel and hear the things that we do and make.

Its color is purple.

And last but not least is our crown chakra.

This is known as a sahasara.

Its color is ultraviolet white.

And this is where we merge with the divine,

Where our connection to all source,

Spirit,

Universe,

Whatever name you choose to call the above.

This is where we are connected.

It is also where we hold our higher selves.

We have our root chakra,

The color red.

It is called the muladhana.

Our sacral chakra,

The color orange,

Known as swadhishthana.

Our solar plexus,

The color yellow,

Manipura.

Our heart chakra,

Known as the anahata,

The color green.

Throat chakra,

Known as vishuddha,

The color light blue.

Our third eye chakra,

Called agnya,

The color purple.

And our crown chakra,

Known as the sahasara,

The color ultraviolet white.

Continue your breath,

Use this as your rhythm,

And repeat the word that most resonated with you,

The color and the feeling.

When our time is up,

I will let you know and you'll be able to gently open your eyes and feel balanced.

Inhale in deep.

Gently start to increase your breath.

Inhale in deep.

Inhale fully.

Begin to wiggle your fingers,

Your toes,

Gently open your eyes,

And come back to this meditation anytime you feel that a chakra is blocked.

I find you peaceful and happy.

Thank you for joining me.
