A Meditation On The 2nd Hermetic Principle Of Correspondence

The 7 hermetic principles are a powerful framework from which to process and alchemize our daily lives. Simply being aware of these principles can be very beneficial, incorporating them into your understanding of life, and applying them can alter the way you create your reality.

This is the principle of Correspondence. As within, so without. As above, so below.

Hi,

I'm Sabine Priestley and this is a short meditation on the second principle of Hermeticism,

The principle of correspondence.

Ancient wisdom and part of the Mystery School teachings,

These seven Hermetic principles provide a structure,

Rhythm,

And a deeper understanding for our lives.

Find a comfortable position and close your eyes.

Let your breath flow naturally,

Settling in your body and mind.

Now breathe deeply in and out,

Letting yourself relax fully.

As your mind calms,

Reflect on this principle.

As above,

So below.

As within,

So without.

Observe how patterns in your life are mirrored within.

Everything you see and experience outside of you exists within you.

As above,

So below.

As within,

So without.

Anything not working in your life can be resolved from within.

Now imagine a vast golden thread connecting all things,

Galaxies,

Planets,

Rivers,

Trees,

And even the cells within your body.

This thread weaves through you,

Binding your life to the universe's grand design.

From the microcosm to the macrocosm,

All exists within and without.

Feel the harmony of this connection and say it with me.

I am part of a greater whole.

I am a part of a greater whole.

The patterns within me are reflected outside of me.

I am a part of a greater whole.

The patterns within me are reflected outside of me.

I am a part of a greater whole.

The patterns within me are reflected outside of me.

With each breath,

Sense the wisdom in this correspondence.

Trust that by understanding one layer of existence,

You gain insight into all others.

Now bring to mind a challenge or a question in your life and ask yourself,

What greater pattern does this reflect?

Where within me does this energy exist?

What greater pattern does this reflect?

Where within me does this energy exist?

What greater pattern does this reflect?

And where within me does this exist?

Visualize a solution flowing to you through the golden thread drawn from the infinite intelligence of the universe.

Trust in this flow.

Know that what you seek already exists within the web of correspondence and therefore within you.

Affirm with me.

By understanding all that exists within me,

I unlock deeper truths.

In order to change my external reality,

I must first change from within.

By understanding all that exists within me,

Beautiful.

Now begin to deepen your breaths,

Feeling gratitude for the interconnectedness of all things,

And gratitude for the principle of correspondence.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes,

Carrying with you the truth of correspondence.

The patterns of the universe are reflected within you.

Seek the harmony within,

And you will find the greater answers without.
