To ensure an easy entry to your mindful day, you will likely want to have the things for your morning ritual ready the night before. Things like a candle, matches, cushion, a cozy blanket, and water in the kettle, ready to go. This way you enter your mornings more softly and mindful. You can do this meditation lying in bed upon waking if you wish. If you donโ€™t want to do this lying down, be sure to move mindfully in a soft fashion and settle into your comfortable meditation space. Thank you to Insight Timer Teacher; Tom Evans for the ambient soundtrack.

If you are just waking up,

Take a moment to realize where you are.

Maybe a gentle stretch or a yawn.

Get yourself nice and cozy and sitting in a comfortable position.

You may want a blanket on your lap,

I sure do.

Sit with your feet flat on the floor,

Palms on your lap,

With your back straight,

But not too tense.

You can have a candle ready if you like.

Now take a breath through your nose,

Pause,

And let it go.

Take another long,

Slow,

Deep breath in,

And exhale slowly through your nose.

How do you feel?

Do you feel warm and safe?

Settle in.

Envision striking your match.

Listen as the match flares to life.

Appreciate its ability to create a flame in one single stroke.

Now dip your match to the candle and notice how readily the candle accepts your flame and sends you its light.

It can be likened to a single beat of your heart pumping out light force throughout your entire body.

Upload your match.

Allow your eyelids to softly close.

Place your hand or both hands on your heart.

Take a deep breath in.

Can you feel the flame rising in your heart?

Let it go.

Take another deep breath in.

Just as easily as the flame leaps to the candle and becomes light,

The light and love ignite your soul.

Now let that go.

You can keep your hands on your heart or you can place them down by your side.

Check in with a quick body scan.

Release any gripping or tension you might find.

Soften your face and jaw.

If you'd like you can place a slight smile on your lips if that helps your face relax.

Now take a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in through your nose and out through your nose.

Take another long,

Slow,

Deep breath in through your nose and out through your nose.

Together we will ignite the life force that resides within us all.

To acknowledge our light and love we will meditate by repeating the following mantra.

Begin by taking a slow,

Deep breath in and let that flow down into your heart and back out again.

Let's do that again.

Let that flow into your heart.

Let that go.

Silently repeat this mantra with me.

I breathe in light.

I breathe out love.

I breathe in light.

I breathe out love.

I breathe in light.

I breathe out love.

I will keep track of the time and when we finish just sit gently with your eyes closed.

Don't worry if your mind wanders,

It will.

Just gently come back to the mantra.

Continue repeating it silently.

Sit gently with your eyes closed.

Can you feel the light energy within you?

Can you feel the warmth in your heart?

Your heart transmutes the candles light to love and to be absorbed by you and to be shared with all you encounter.

Let's recite together.

I see the divine light in you that shines also in me.

I see the divine light in you that shines also in me.

Let the divine light flow through your heart.

Can you feel the ripples of warmth throughout your body?

You can use this meditation anytime you want to re-energize yourself and feel the love light energy.

Now blow out your candle and take its light with you throughout your day.

Namaste.

Very nice. Relaxing, and such a grounding voice mirrored with a clever insight with a great background music and sound effects of an actual match being lit. Wonderful experience; uplifting voice. Great job, my new friend! More please ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ•Š

1/12/2024 Yes. I found out recently there's scientific reason why we hear our own voices differently. Can't remember what that was now. After many lives. I don't mind listening to my own voice. Haha. Hi Richard. Congratulations on becoming teacher!!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป. This track is absolutely relaxing. I'm feeling so peaceful. Love your voice and especially the whisper.
