The warrior archetype is the part of your psyche that exists to aid you when you're up against challenges or opposing forces.

This meditation is designed to integrate the warrior within you,

To help you establish healthy boundaries,

Successfully take on challenges,

And have the courage and internal fortitude to handle the stresses that life throws at you.

The warrior is a very primal energy.

So we'll start by connecting to the vibration of groundedness using breath and sound.

Breathe gently now into your belly,

Making sure your abdominal muscles remain relaxed.

Hold in your next inhale for just a moment,

Then release your belly muscles so they expand as you exhale.

You can put your hand on your belly to make sure it does not tense when you breathe out.

Again,

Inhale gently,

And let your belly expand on the exhale.

Inhale again,

And allow gravity to pull on your ribs to help you exhale with less effort,

With less strain.

The purpose of this is to allow your diaphragm to relax.

Your diaphragm is a powerful sheet of muscle.

Power does not come from tension.

Power comes from relaxation.

On your next exhale,

Allow yourself to make a sound.

Ahhhh.

Inhale again,

And exhale with a sound.

It does not have to be loud.

We are not going for volume.

We're going for vibration.

Continue on your own,

Inhaling and exhaling a sound,

Allowing gravity's natural pull on your ribcage to help it out of you.

And notice how you can allow more and more vibration within your body.

The more relaxed your diaphragm is,

The more vibration you'll feel.

Let your organs rest on your diaphragm,

Like a weight on a trampoline.

On your exhales,

The air can push against the strength of your diaphragm,

Allowing a resonant vibration on the way out.

This is the gentle way to create what's called intra-abdominal pressure.

This is the sensation of groundedness,

Which supports your inner fortitude and your ability to remain calm when faced with external pressures.

Now gently and gradually,

Allow your breath to become silent.

But see if you can maintain the sensation of a relaxed diaphragm and a resonant breath.

I will remind you to connect to this sensation over the next few minutes.

But do your best to maintain this feeling within your body.

You can always make a sound at any time to help you return to this sensation.

The warrior is one of the oldest archetypes in the collective unconscious.

So now we're going to go through a short journey to connect with our most primal elements.

Imagine a ball of light in your solar plexus.

Imagine that all that exists in the universe is this little ball of light surrounded by darkness.

As you continue to breathe with vibration,

You breathe life into this little ball of light.

As you exhale,

Allow yourself to feel vibration inside of this ball.

Even though there may be darkness all around,

As long as you breathe life into this ball,

It never has anything to fear.

With every inhale and every exhale,

The ball becomes brighter and stronger.

As you continue breathing,

Nice and relaxed,

Allow yourself to see this ball expand into a line up and down along your spine.

Keep breathing,

Feeling the intra-abdominal pressure,

Allowing this light to illuminate your entire spine,

From the crown of your head to the tip of your tailbone.

Imagine your entire body is this glowing spine.

As you breathe,

You illuminate and empower your spine.

This,

Of course,

Is your backbone.

It maintains your form against the stresses of the world.

In the animal kingdom,

The most powerful creatures are those that take up the most space.

So now,

Allow your spine to expand.

Imagine the crown of your head floating upwards.

Imagine your tailbone expanding downwards,

Away from the center of your body.

As you breathe,

Gently and easily,

Allow your spine to expand,

To elongate,

So that when you're upright,

You will stand taller,

And when you're lying down,

You will be longer,

So that your spine can find its most natural,

Easeful shape.

Breathe into the spaces between the individual bones of your vertebrae.

Allow any tension that previously pulled them together to release.

Breathe the grounded vibration into your backbone.

And remember,

Power comes from relaxation.

Imagine what it could feel like to have a spine so relaxed,

So powerful that it could propel you through water.

What would it feel like to be the most powerful,

Fearless creature in the ocean?

Remember the feeling of a resonant breath,

And continue feeling or visualizing this light in your spine.

And now,

Allow it to expand out into your shoulders and your pelvis.

As you breathe,

Allow your shoulders to expand and release horizontally.

Allow your pelvis to expand.

Feel your body begin to take up more and more space.

And feel or visualize the light expanding into your upper arms and thighs,

Through your elbows and knees,

Down your forearms and lower legs,

Into your hands and feet.

Keep breathing with the sensation of groundedness,

And pay attention to your hands and your feet.

Notice any sensations you may feel in the palms of your hands or the soles of your feet.

Continue breathing into these four points,

Your extremities.

And imagine what it would feel like to be a big,

Majestic animal that walked on all fours.

What would it feel like to walk the earth on these four points of contact?

What would it feel like to be supported by four powerful limbs?

If you see yourself as a specific animal,

Just notice the details.

If not,

Simply breathe and feel the sensation of taking up a lot of space on the surface of the earth.

Notice the feeling of a relaxed diaphragm inside of your body.

Notice the grounded,

Powerful sensation of intra-abdominal pressure.

Now imagine the feeling of your hands leaving the ground.

Imagine the feeling of standing upright on two powerful legs.

Breathe,

And imagine the feeling of two feet solidly on the ground.

Remember the sensation of an expanded spine,

Letting your crown float up towards the sky.

Notice if you can feel or visualize the glowing light filling your entire body.

Notice what it feels like to stand tall and stand powerfully.

To have your feet so well-rooted that nothing can knock you over.

To have your limbs expanded and your torso relaxed.

Because you know you have all that you need to protect yourself and those you love.

With this strength comes a deep peace,

And with this peace comes joy.

Because as challenges arise,

You know that you can walk through anything.

As you continue to breathe with resonance,

Exhaling with a relaxed inner pressure,

See if you can imagine the glowing light expand beyond the limits of your physical body.

Notice if you can feel just beyond your skin,

Or you can visualize yourself expanding beyond your physical borders.

Breathe and notice if your energy body can get bigger and bigger,

Like a force field around your physical self.

You can breathe life into this greater self.

You can remain relaxed,

Knowing that nothing can enter this space without your permission.

You can expand this self to take up more and more space,

So that nothing can ever make you feel small.

You can feel,

As you breathe,

Your intra-abdominal pressure,

Your internal fortitude that gives you the strength to face any external pressures that life throws at you.

Enjoy this feeling.

And one last time,

If you'd like,

Breathe in,

Hold it for a moment,

And exhale with a vibrating sound.

Notice if you can feel more vibration now than before.

The more you pay attention to this feeling,

The more grounded and solid you will feel.

The more you pay attention to this vibration,

The more connected you will be to your warrior archetype.

Grounding is a continuous practice.

It is a moment-to-moment choice.

So as you go about your day today,

Remember that at any point,

You can summon the courage,

Strength,

And internal fortitude that is your warrior archetype.
