Your host and guide.
So in today's meditation we're exploring the connection between the solar plexus chakra and the third eye chakra.
Now these two energy centres are inextricably linked as the Manipura or solar plexus is home to the enteric nervous system or what's sometimes referred to as the belly brain and is most commonly recognised as our gut instincts.
It is the part of us that moves out of danger before the brain has even had time to process what's going on.
It's the part of our body that can know when food is bad and that all makes sense when we know that it is physically connected to the digestive system.
As a survival instinct this is pretty important and has kept us safe for millennia.
The third eye,
The ajna chakra,
Is the seat of our intuition and our inner knowing.
It is the place where we find our insight,
Our clarity,
Our inner wisdom and the third eye helps us to make decisions.
If you find decision making really hard then this might indicate that the chakra is not fully open.
It is the chakra that connects us to our higher self,
Our inner self,
The observer of the self,
The listener to the thoughts.
When we meditate and find quiet it is the third eye that revels in the peace and clarity of your inner knowing.
Together the solar plexus and the third eye unify the wisdom of the body and the mind and today we will meditate on connecting these two beautiful chakras.
So settle into comfort either lying down or sitting upright.
Make sure that you won't be disturbed,
You're warm,
Comfortable,
Supported and when you feel ready close your eyes and begin to relax your body.
So focus on the natural rhythm of your breath,
Feeling into your belly expanding on each inhale and softening on each exhale.
Soft belly breathing to give your awareness a chance to really check in at the solar plexus.
Feel your diaphragm traveling gently through this space and I want us to begin with a slow diaphragmatic breath.
So we're going to invite in a deeper breath and I want you to inhale for the count of four,
Feeling your belly expand to full and then hold for a count of four,
Noticing the energy gathering in your solar plexus and exhale for a count of six,
Releasing all tension from your body.
So inhaling for four and holding for four and then exhale for six,
Bringing your attention into your belly,
Feeling the expansion of the space with each breath.
And as you breathe,
Imagine a golden light beginning to glow within your belly,
Shining its light onto your second brain,
Your gut's intelligence,
Your belly brain,
This wisdom of instincts,
Emotions and survival.
Invite this golden energy to flow upwards towards the third eye as you exhale and begin to engender the connection between your body's innate knowing with your intuitive mind.
Begin to see this shimmering light reaching up,
Beginning to connect these two spaces as you continue to breathe.
Like a thin beautiful flame just connecting the third eye and the solar plexus.
And if you can't see it,
Don't worry,
Just breathe,
Set your intention.
So gently draw your attention into the solar plexus,
Focus your energy there now and imagine a vibrant bright sunshine yellow orb radiating warmth and strength in your solar plexus.
Feel this energy activating your enteric nervous system,
The gut's network of neurons that processes emotions and instincts.
The Manipura chakra governs your personal power,
Your confidence and the ability to take action.
The belly brain processes emotions and communicates directly with the brain,
Guiding decisions and alerting you to what feels off,
What feels right.
So just sensing into the energy of the Manipura.
Let's use a couple of affirmations to let that awareness sink deep into the solar plexus chakra.

My instincts guide me with clarity and strength.

So let those affirmations sink deep.
Take another slightly deeper breath as I want you to now shift your attention upwards to your third eye.
Located between the eyebrows,
Your body innately knows where this is.
So gazing out through your third eye,
Imagine an indigo orb sitting there deep within the eyebrows,
Glowing softly,
Representing clarity,
Insight and intuition.
As you gaze out through your third eye,
See the deep indigo energy swirling before that inner eye.
The third eye connects you to your subconscious,
To higher wisdom,
Where your inner knowing resides.
Together with your gut brain,
It helps translate body signals into intuitive insights.
See that indigo light growing stronger.
And let's use another couple of affirmations to really speak to the third eye.
I trust my inner vision.
I trust my inner vision.
My intuition guides me towards truth.
My intuition guides me toward truth.
So see this indigo light growing stronger and expanding outward to connect with the energy of the solar plexus.
I want you to invite the belly brain and the intuitive mind,
The solar plexus and the third eye to unify.
So with your breath still flowing beautifully,
Deeply,
On your next exhale,
Visualize the sunshine yellow energy of the solar plexus rising upward along your spine to meet the indigo energy of the third eye.
As these energies merge,
Imagine the two lights swirling together into a radiant golden indigo glow,
Symbolizing the unity of gut wisdom and intuition.
Reflect on how the belly brain's instincts and the third eye's clarity can guide you together.
Feel empowered to trust both your body's signals and your intuitive insights.
So repeat these affirmations,
Feeling into the combined strength of your solar plexus and third eye.
I trust the wisdom of my body and mind.

My instincts and intuition guide me in harmony.

I am aligned with my inner knowing and personal power.

The time you need to allow these affirmations to sink deep.
Continue to feel into this beautiful connection between the solar plexus and the third eye,
Between the Manipura and Ajna chakras.
This beautiful play of yellow and indigo melding,
Swirling around each other,
Connecting.
Take another deeper breath.
Take a few long,
Slow,
Deep breaths.
And as you breathe,
Feel this connection deepen.
And when you feel ready,
Slowly wiggle your fingers,
Maybe your toes,
And bring your awareness back into this present moment.
And as you gently open your eyes,
Feel into the sense of groundedness,
Confidence and connection to your inner wisdom.
