Many of us store emotion and stress in our bodies, which can manifest as pain or discomfort. Using violet light, mindful awareness and powerful affirmations, this meditation guides you to release emotion and pain that may be stored in your body through forgiveness and loving kindness. Breathe in healing light and let go of any stress or emotion you are holding, that is no longer serving you. Fill your body with love and light.

This body scan is intended to find those places in your body that you may be storing energy or emotion that no longer serves and releasing a discomfort or pain with forgiveness.

Just a note,

This meditation is not intended to replace medical help with your injury or pain.

If there is anything persistent,

I encourage you to follow up with your physician or healthcare practitioner.

During this meditation,

We will start by doing a scan of your body,

Identifying where you may be holding on to something or where you may be feeling tension or pain.

We will then return to each of those places in an effort to let go and to heal and to forgive.

So I will ask you to find a comfortable place to sit or preferably lay down where you won't be disturbed for the next 20 minutes or so.

Get comfortable.

And when you're comfortable,

I want you to take three deep breaths,

Filling your lungs and your stomach as you inhale and releasing all that breath with the exhale.

With each breath,

Feel the earth under you sink deeper and deeper into wherever you are.

Now return to your normal breath.

In your mind's eye,

I want you to picture a halo of violet light about six inches above your head.

Now picture the violet light getting brighter and larger with each breath until it is large enough to encompass around your entire body.

We will be using this violet light to scan your entire body from the top of your head to the tips of your toes.

So let's begin.

I want you to slowly move the violet light from above your head to the tip of your head.

Let it encompass you like a scanner as it moves down from the top of your head,

Scanning all of your head and your face.

As it scans,

I want you to notice where you may be holding pain or tension.

At this point,

You are just noticing these points.

Send your awareness to the pain or tension,

As if to say I see you and I will be back.

Move the violet light over your neck,

Your shoulders,

Your arms and your chest.

At each point,

Noticing where there is tension for you.

Send your awareness to that spot.

Acknowledge it and let it know you will return during this meditation.

Move the violet light down your back,

Your stomach,

Your abdomen.

Again,

As any discomfort or twinge of pain comes up,

I invite you to acknowledge it.

Internally,

You can say I see you and I'll be back.

Continue to move the violet light over your body,

Over your pelvis,

Your tailbone,

Your hips,

Scanning your upper thighs,

To your knees.

Each time you note a twinge or pain or any kind of discomfort,

Acknowledge it.

Say I'll be back.

We will be making our way back to each of these areas after we have scanned.

We will be making our way back to each of these areas after we've scanned your entire body.

Move the violet light down over your calves,

Your ankles and your feet,

Covering your entire body.

You are now encased in a safe,

Loving cocoon of violet healing light that extends from six inches above your head to six inches below your feet.

We will be returning to each of those areas of pain or discomfort you noticed in the scan.

Before you do,

I want you to breathe in this healing violet light for a few breaths.

You are safe in this cocoon.

You can return here at any time in this meditation if you need to return to safety,

If you need to return to love.

Now,

As we promised,

It's time to go back to each of the areas you noticed pain or tension and bring it love and forgiveness in order to release what you may be storing that is no longer serving you.

Move your awareness to your feet and move it up your legs,

Over your toes and your ankles,

Calves,

Your knees,

Thighs.

Where is the discomfort?

Wherever there is a tinge for each of these places,

I want you to put your awareness there.

What color is the pain?

Just notice what color it is.

There is no right answer.

There is no judgment here.

I want you to continue breathing as the pain of discomfort comes.

And for each area you encounter,

I want you to greet that discomfort of pain by saying,

I see you.

I feel you.

I love you.

I'm sorry.

Forgive me.

Remember to keep breathing.

When you're ready,

I want you to move up your body.

Move your awareness from your legs to your abdomen.

Each time there is pain or a tinge of discomfort that comes up.

I want you to repeat the process.

Notice what color the pain is and breathe into the discomfort.

And say,

Whether in your mind or aloud,

I see you.

I feel you.

I love you.

I'm sorry.

Forgive me.

Continue to move your awareness all the way up your body.

Stopping in each place you have found that discomfort.

Breathe as you acknowledge it.

Stay as long or as sure as you like.

Repeat,

I see you.

I feel you.

I love you.

I'm sorry.

Forgive me.

As many times as you need.

Remember,

You are still held in this cocoon of violet light.

Whenever you need,

You can return your awareness to that light.

And breathe.

Breathe that light in.

And then return to any point of discomfort or pain.

Always noticing the color of the pain and repeating,

I see you.

I feel you.

I love you.

I'm sorry.

Forgive me.

There is no judgment in where you feel this pain.

There is no shame.

There is no anger.

This space is all about seeing what you've stored in your cells.

The energy,

The emotion.

Just seeing it,

Acknowledging it,

Asking it for forgiveness,

For holding on to it.

Sending it love,

Always love,

In order to release it.

I want you to continue moving to wherever in your body you feel that pain.

Bring your awareness there.

Breathe in love.

Breathe out love.

And repeat,

I see you.

I feel you.

I love you.

I'm sorry.

Forgive me.

I will give you the space to move through your entire body,

Addressing each part that comes up in the time and space that you need.

I will leave the background music as a reminder to you to breathe and to return to the violet light cocoon anytime you need.

All of the emotion and the energy and the pain and the joy and the laughter.

It is all you.

Today you've worked through releasing what is no longer serving you.

Continue breathing in love and breathing out love.

As that violet light begins to move.

Move from your feet,

Moving up your legs and your abdomen.

Moving up your arms and chest.

As it moves all the way up your neck and head to rest six inches above your head in a violet light halo.

Having been released from the cocoon.

Begin to bring your awareness back to the present moment.

Slowly begin to wiggle your toes and move your fingers.

Move your legs and arms.

After this meditation.

Be extra kind to yourself,

Dear one.

You have released some of the emotion you've been holding on to.

You have forgiven yourself for retaining emotion and pain in your body.

Celebrate yourself.

Rest as you need.

I celebrate the light in you.

My wish is that you celebrate the light in yourself.
