In this moment I invite you to settle into a quiet space,

A place where you can let the outside world disappear and the inside world awaken.

As you begin to take a deep breath in through the nose,

Expanding,

Awakening,

Illuminating and as you exhale,

Let it go.

Psalm 1,

Blessed is the one who does not walk and step with the wicked,

Or stand in the way that sinners take,

Or sit in the company of mockers,

But whose delight is in the law of the Lord,

And who meditates on his law day and night.

This person is like a tree planted by streams of water which yield its fruit in season,

And whose leaf does not wither.

Whatever he does prospers.

Not so the wicked,

They are like shaft that the wind blows away.

Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,

Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous,

But the way of the wicked leads to destruction.

In this moment we are going to walk through our blessed series.

As you begin to breathe,

Just notice your breath here.

Where in your breath do you feel the release?

Where in your body do you feel the breath?

Relaxing the muscles of the face,

The eyes,

The ears,

The jaw,

And allowing your inhale and your exhale like a wave to ride in and out,

To calm and to connect.

And now as you listen,

Listening to the Spirit meditating on his word,

Blessed is the one who does not walk in the step with the wicked,

Stand in the way that sinners take,

Or sit in the company of walkers.

But whose delight is in the law of the Lord,

And who meditates on his law day and night.

That person is like a tree planted by the streams of water,

Which yields its fruit in season,

And whose leaf does not wither.

In this moment now I invite you to experience.

Experience your breath,

Experience listening,

Experience letting go of the outside and being open to the Spirit teaching you and speaking to you.

And now we see.

We take in a sensory experience of seeing this person like a tree planted by the streams of water.

Can you see this tree?

This big green tree?

As I visualize this tree by the water,

The gnarly roots,

The deep roots,

Those that are exposed and those that go deeper and deeper still,

Drawing its nourishment up from the ground,

Being well established,

Planted,

Not just potted but planted deeper.

So that when the raging waters come and the wind comes,

The roots are established and deep.

Now can you smell kind of the scenery around in this garden,

In this space,

In this place that you are breathing,

You are listening,

You are experiencing,

You are seeing and now you are smelling this sensory connection of what does it smell like by the stream?

You sitting by the stream.

Imagine yourself like that tree planted by the water.

Maybe the wind is blowing,

You can smell the air.

Maybe it's after a fresh rainstorm,

You smell the water.

Maybe it's a sunny day and it's humid.

Create the experience that you want to smell and see.

And now in this space of meditating on the law of the Lord,

What is your intention that you can then take action on?

What is your intention today?

Is it to walk,

To stand,

To sit,

To delight,

To meditate,

Yield?

Where are you in this journey of your righteous walk with the Lord?

I invite you in the stillness and the quiet of breathing,

Listening,

Experiencing,

Seeing,

Smelling,

Setting your attention and taking action today.

Visualize yourself the righteous planted by the streams of the living water whose leaf does not wither.

That whatever you do will prosper and that you will yield fruit in season.

Peace.
