In this session I want to talk about the benefits of humming.
If you have never tried humming as a part of your meditation practice,
I definitely recommend trying it.
Humming is an excellent tool that can help you to go deeper in your meditation practice.
There are many reasons why I love humming.
First of all,
It is easy to practice and doesn't need any prior experience whatsoever.
That means anyone can practice it right away and start reaping the benefits.
Humming improves your lung capacity and helps you to breathe better.
Humming activates the upper three chakras,
The heart,
The throat and the third eye chakras.
Humming also enhances the amount of nitric oxide you are producing,
Thereby improving the oxygen absorption significantly.
Humming activates the vagus nerve,
Thereby helping you to come out of fight or flight mode into rest and digest mode.
Humming can also improve the quality of your sleep if you do it just before going to bed.
These are just some of the benefits of humming that I have noticed in my practice and teaching over the last few years.
