In this Mantra Breath Exercise, we become conscious of breathing easily, naturally and calming. We use the repetition of the word "peace" to aid concentration in this meditation. Through the repetition of this word, we root the desire for peace, into our subconscious, bringing calm and contentment to our body and mind.

The following is a mantra breath exercise.

I invite you to adopt a comfortable seated position and if you're comfortable close down your eyes.

Now follow my guidance as we begin the mantra breath.

Breathing in fully you let the belly rise on the inhalation and as you exhale let the belly fall as you complete the outgoing breath.

Continue with long slow steady breaths emptying the lungs completely.

On the next breath in silently breathe in the word peace.

Repeat the word peace until the exhalation is complete.

Breathe in peace,

Peace,

Peace.

Breathe out peace,

Peace,

Peace.

And continue until asked to stop.

Breathe easily and naturally as you repeat it in your mind.

Deeply engaged and completely absorbed.

Feel every cell of your body deeply hearing and receiving this word.

Now breathe normally.

Notice how the energy of this word is transferred into sensation in your body and mind.

Let yourself go into the word.

Let go into the silent stillness expanding everywhere.

This concludes the practice of the mantra breath.

Namaste.
