Take a moment to get settled into a comfortable position that will allow you to feel relaxed yet alert.
You can sit on the floor or on a chair.
Just be sure to sit in a way that your spine can be long and upright.
Try to eliminate all distractions.
Let's take a deep and cleansing breath.
As you exhale,
Soften and close your eyes.
Om Mani Padme Hum is an ancient Buddhist mantra.
In English,
This rhythmic chant translates to praise to the jewel in the center of the lotus.
As the Dalai Lama said,
Its meaning is great and vast because all the teachings of Buddha are wrapped up in this one phrase.
Chanting in general is soothing to the senses and sends energy throughout our energetic centers known as our chakras.
Om Mani Padme Hum is said to help clear the mind,
Allowing us to detach from the ego.
An invocation of compassion for ourselves and all those we affect.
As we get set to chant Om Mani Padme Hum 108 times,
You can recite along with me aloud or you can silently chant from within.
And either way,
We will use this time to slow down,
Relax and recharge.
Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum As we bring our attention back to our bodies,
Back to the space and our surroundings,
We will carry these intentions of love and compassion for ourselves and all those around us for the remainder of our day and night.
Sealing this meditation with respect,
Love and light.
Namaste.
