Bode Beatrix the Butterfly,

Like all other butterflies,

Wasn't a butterfly from birth.

Beatrix and all other butterflies have one of the most brilliant life cycles on this beloved planet Earth.

In the first stage of her life,

Beatrix began as an egg laid on the leaves of a wild violet flower,

Providing protection as well as the plant's plentiful supply of nutrients to devour.

In stage two of her life,

Beatrix emerges from her egg and eats the eggshell from which she just hatched.

Her hunger is abundant as she eats the entire plant in which her egg was previously attached.

For the remainder of this caterpillar life,

Beatrix will eat to fill her insatiable appetite.

Beatrix eats and eats every single plant stem and leaf in sight.

Beatrix sheds her skin as her new body takes rise,

As she grows to be 100 times her original size.

Beatrix is ready to enter stage three of her life's transformational change.

She'll go through a metamorphosis as her body's cells rearrange.

Beatrix builds a chrysalis for her metamorphosis to take place.

This is the shelter she needs to create for her transformational space.

Inside the chrysalis,

Beatrix will outgrow her old caterpillar ways.

She will emerge as a butterfly in a few short days.

Beatrix enters her life stage four.

She breaks free from her chrysalis with her wings she is ready to soar.

Beatrix is a butterfly and her life cycle is complete.

One day,

Beatrix will lay her own eggs and the butterfly life cycle will repeat.

Thank you for listening to Beatrix the Butterfly.

I hope you learned something valuable and new.

May you use the energy of metamorphosis to grow beyond the changes you are going through.
