The Blue Sheep This is a story about a sheep named Drew.
A one of a kind sheep with fleece the color blue.
I've seen some sheep that are black and a lot more that are white.
But a blue sheep?
No,
That's truly a rare sight.
When Drew was a young lamb and tried to play and have fun,
The other lambs would stay away and some would even run.
Drew just could not understand why he scared the other lambs away.
He was no different than the other lambs who wanted to have fun and play.
Drew felt so alone and sad.
He felt frustrated and even a little mad.
He had so many mixed feelings inside.
So he spent most of his time finding places to hide.
Then one day a lamb saw Drew crying by himself all alone.
She walked over slowly and said,
Hello,
My name is Joan.
She wanted to show Drew that she wasn't scared.
She wanted to help and show that she cared.
Drew said,
Joan,
You just don't understand,
I could never be like you.
My fleece is not white or black.
It's this ugly color blue.
Joan said,
That is silly.
That is just not true.
Your fleece is beautiful.
My favorite color is blue.
Drew was surprised and a little confused.
He was shocked to hear this wonderful news.
Drew asked Joan if she would be his friend and if she wanted to play.
She said,
Of course,
I would like to play together every single day.

Drew and Joan saw each other every day.
They played so many games and had so many things to say.
Drew and Joan were an inseparable pair.
The other sheep could not help but notice and stare.
