A holistic workshop further enhances your sense of inner calm and care. Guests enjoy three nourishing, organic meals daily—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—featuring seasonal, home-grown produce. Highlights include Sharpham’s award-winning cheese, freshly pressed apple juice from the estate’s own orchards, and thoughtfully prepared vegetarian and vegan dishes crafted on-site. Sharpham is a special house in a spectacular setting where we hope you can feel at home and enjoy the relaxed, friendly and cosy atmosphere. Lots of people think that a historic house must have been draughty and cold, but it's warm and cosy here (thanks to our eco-sensitive wood-chip boiler). The rooms are spacious and some of them have attractive views of the quant English countryside, helping you deeply rest and rejuvenate in a nourishing and inspiring atmosphere.

Schedule

Our retreat has been thoughtfully designed to create a balanced rhythm of movement, rest, nourishment, and connection. Each day offers a blend of energising and restorative yoga practices, and space for personal reflection. We begin on Day 1 with check-in between 3:00–4:15pm, followed by a welcome circle and a gentle flow yoga session to unwind from your journey. After a nourishing dinner, the evening closes with calming restorative yoga to ease into the retreat space. Day 2 features a full program of yoga, starting with a gentle morning session (Level 1) followed by a dynamic vinyasa flow (Level 2). The afternoon offers optional activities, including a walk through the beautiful grounds and a holistic workshop. The day concludes with a peaceful restorative yoga and yoga nidra session. On Day 3, after breakfast and check-out, we end with a mixed-abilities flow yoga class, helping you integrate your experience before departing at midday. Throughout the retreat, you are encouraged to listen to your own rhythm, joining in as much or as little as feels right for you.

Testimonials

info

I attended my first ever yoga retreat with joy. It was money well spent. The location, food and yoga was fantastic. Joy and her husband Steve looked after us all really well and the daily freshly prepared vegan food was incredible by our very own chef Virginian. Joy even made some lovely homemade gifts for the weekend free for everyone, which was a lovely touch. I will certainly be returning for next year.

I had the most amazing time at a retreat with Joy. Beautiful location, accommodation and food. The itinerary was perfectly arranged and Joy’s teaching catered for all levels. Joy made it very special with thoughtful gifts and activities. I will definitely be booking another retreat!

Bella Nolan, United Kingdom

Joy is an amazing teacher and I have been practicing with her for a few years. This year I also joined her Yoga Retreat for the first time. I absolutely loved it. From fantastic yoga classes, through guided meditations, careful choice of venue and food to special tea ceremony and hand made wellness gifts, Joy puts her whole heart and soul into her work. Her in depth knowledge and passion made those few days very special. I am more than happy with the experience and will for sure book another one in the future.
