Qigong and Cha Dao (Way of Tea) Taiwan Tour with Solala Towler June 1 - 10, 2026 To Daoists, the preparation and sharing of tea is far more than simple enjoyment—it is a meditation, a quiet doorway into presence, harmony, and the subtle movements of spirit. Each cup becomes an opportunity to align with the Dao, to listen inwardly, and to savor the moment fully. On this journey, Tea will be one of our central companions. We will sit with accomplished tea masters, absorbing not only their skill but their spirit. We will visit enchanting teahouses, taste unique and rare teas, enjoy tea-infused cuisine, and even delight in tea ice cream. This immersion into the Way of Tea will weave seamlessly with our practices of Daoist Energy Meditation and Qigong, creating a rich tapestry of experience—nourishing body, mind, and spirit. We will spend our days exploring sacred Daoist and Buddhist temples, sitting in tea ceremony with skilled tea masters, visiting the renowned National Palace Museum, and attending a captivating puppet performance at TaipeiEYE, featuring Peking Opera. We’ll also discover many exceptional teahouses throughout the journey. One unforgettable day, we’ll ride the world’s longest cable cars—the Maokong Gondola—ascending into the lush mountains outside of Taipei. From there, we’ll hike to a teahouse with a glass floor overlooking a tranquil pond, and enjoy a restaurant where tea is thoughtfully incorporated into each dish. Along the way, there will be time for reflection, meaningful connection, exploration, and incredible food. We’ll learn and practice Qigong, and create lasting friendships in a setting designed for presence and discovery. $4444 covers all hotels (double occupancy), guide and translator, meals, classes, shows, and travel expenses in Taiwan! Private room: additional $800 Each day will begin with a group breakfast at our hotel, then qigong with Solala in the park and will finish with group dinner and Daoist energy meditation. We will be working with my old friend Dana Xu, a delightful and experienced guide. She will travel with us for the whole trip and be our guide, translator and confident on our journey! More travel information will be sent to you after registration.
