Yoga & Meditation Retreat with Carlos Romero Join us for a transformative retreat with Master Yoga & Somatic Movement Teacher Carlos Romero in the breathtaking coastal town of Ahangama, Sri Lanka. Inspired by the rhythm of nature and the fluidity of movement, this retreat is designed to help you embody a state of flow—where movement becomes intuitive, energy moves freely, and the mind surrenders to the body’s wisdom. Carlos Romero, founder of the Livin Inspired School of Yoga, Embodiment & Somatics, brings over 20 years of experience in somatic movement, fascia release, and holistic healing. His approach blends breath, movement, and touch to awaken the body’s intelligence, creating space for deep connection and transformation. Co-hosting is Azma Ousmand, co-founder of Adzenture Retreats, who was born in Sri Lanka and brings a personal connection to its rich culture and natural beauty. This retreat is an invitation to release the mind’s grip and sink into embodied presence—unlocking authentic movement, connection, and expansive awareness. Guided by the elements of nature, we will immerse in somatic movement, fascia release, and healing touch to cultivate greater freedom and mobility. Through dynamic workshops, Yin and sound healing sessions, and Yoga Nidra interwoven with music, we’ll discover the balance of stillness and motion—unlocking spaces within that hold tension, emotion, and untapped potential. Each day begins with a sacred morning practice led by Carlos, integrating breath, meditation, movement, and alignment to awaken the body, center the mind, and attune the spirit for the day. Beyond the mat, we will dive into the essence of Sri Lanka’s south coast—where golden beaches meet the Indian Ocean. Surf the tides, explore Hiriketiya Bay, or embark on an elephant safari through lush landscapes. Nourish your body with vibrant, locally sourced meals and experience the historic charm of Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This retreat is for yogis, seekers, and movers longing to rediscover the fluidity of life. It is an invitation to soften, to listen deeply, and to move in harmony with nature. Whether through movement, stillness, or the simple joy of being, you will leave feeling lighter, more open, and attuned to your own rhythm. Workshops Embodied Flow: A Journey Through Breath, Stillness & Somatic Movement Step out of rigidity and into fluid movement. This workshop blends elements of dance, breathwork, and stretching to unlock stored patterns in the body. Through guided sequences and improvisation, we’ll explore authentic self-expression, emotional release, and the joy of moving without restriction. Somatic Yin Yoga Sound Journey A multi-sensory journey into embodiment through Yin Yoga, presence, and sound meditation. We’ll explore the subtle body, somatic awareness, and healing through the spectrum of our being. The Art of Healing Touch: Thai Yoga Massage & MyoFacial Therapy Thai Yoga Massage is a transformative experience—reshaping how we move, communicate, and share touch as healing. Explore the sacred dance of ancient Thai Massage combined with the modern approach of Myofascial release. Yoga Nidra with Musical Weaving A deeply meditative journey where guided Yoga Nidra meets music. We’ll drift between wakefulness and sleep, accessing the subconscious to promote deep rest and rejuvenation. Resonant sounds enhance the practice, leading to expanded awareness and harmony. Cacao Ceremony & Ecstatic Dance We close in sacred circle with a heart-opening cacao ritual, followed by ecstatic dance to celebrate transformation. Through rhythm, joy, and movement, we honor our journey and return to the wisdom of the body—liberated, connected, and alive.

Testimonials

Had such an incredible week-long retreat with Adzenture. I was extremely impressed with the highly curated daily itineraries from the restaurants we ate at to the cultural activities we partook in. So many beautiful memories together! I would undoubtedly recommend Adzenture to any traveler!

I would recommend this retreat and Azma in particular to anyone looking for this type of experience. She really takes all of the guess work and hassle out of the equation, from airports, to visas, accommodations, even in the days before the retreat if your there a few days early, to what to do with your free time. It's your experience the retreat is structured but your also given the freedom to do what you want to do while being armed with all the tools. All the events that were attached were a lot of fun. And it was clear that she really planned out the whole experience. I had a trip booked before this that was attached. Azma was helpful with that as well. In addition to answering the million questions I asked her before the retreat. Doing yoga at sunrise and making some new friends isn't an experience I would ever forgot. Highly recommended.
