Details

This is a luxury small-group Camino designed for those who want depth, beauty, and comfort woven into their walking experience. We follow the Portuguese Way at a spacious, steady rhythm — allowing time to notice, reflect, and fully inhabit the landscape. Between Pontevedra and Padrón, we divert onto the quieter Spiritual Variant, walking a more contemplative route shaped by monasteries, coastal inlets, and a boat journey that retraces the legendary arrival of Saint James. The ambiance is intimate and relaxed, with boutique accommodation, exceptional regional dining, and meaningful conversation forming the backdrop to each day. Mindfulness principles are gently integrated throughout — not as rigid structure, but as an invitation to walk with awareness, clarity, and intention. This experience is ideal for adults in transition, seeking recalibration, or simply wanting to step out of the noise of everyday life without sacrificing comfort. The Camino changes you. How you walk it matters.

1st - 2nd September 2026 Beginning with 1-night in beautiful & vibrant Porto, we'll taste the classic Portuguese Tart and indulge in a taste tour of the Central Market Single Accommodation at Grande Hotel do Porto 2nd - 3rd September 2026 Transfer to Tui after breakfast & check out Single Accommodation at The Parador de Tui 3rd - 4th September 2026 Today we begin walking, arriving in O'Porrino after a 16km walk Shared apartments at Salgueira Rooms 4th - 6th September 2026 (2 Nts) Instead of the 22km walk to Arcade, we stop slightly short in Redondella, adding the extra k's to the shorter walk on the 6th. In this beautiful, rustic rural property, we say hello to the resident goats and stay an extra night for a spacious pause for rest, integration, gentle practices, and reflection. Single accommodation at As Chivas in Rendondella 6th - 7th September 2026 A shorter walking day to balance the previous stage, arriving in Pontevedra at an unhurried pace, and a chance to soak up the atmosphere of this gorgeous town. Single accommodation at The Parador de Pontevedra 7th - 8th September 2026 This marks the start of the Spiritual Variant, taking us through the coastal village of Combarro before the Camino turns inward — both geographically and energetically — as we walk toward the monastery at Armenteira. (23km) Single Accommodation at Pousada de Armenteira 8th - 9th September 2026 One of the most beautiful walking days of the Camino, this stage follows the Route of Stone & Water — a gentle, shaded path alongside rivers, waterfalls, and old stone mills — before opening out toward the coast at Vilanova de Arousa. (22km) Single Accommodation at Hotel Bradomín 9th - 10th September 2026 (2nts) The Traslatio boat journey brings us into Padrón, where we settle in for two nights (in my favourite accommodation!) just beyond town. This quieter pause includes time for reflection, gentle retreat practices, and a Michelin-starred dining experience — a meaningful moment to honour the walk before completing the Camino in Santiago. Single Accommodation at Os Lambrans 10th - 11th September 2026 Our final walk into Santiago and it's a big one - 24km's but oh so worth it! Single Accommodation at the stunning Hotel Virxe da Cerca (Pousadas de Compostela) 12 September- Check Out and Say our Heart Felt Goodbyes.

Food is an integral part of this experience — rooted in place, tradition, and seasonality. As we walk through Galicia, meals reflect the region: simple, generous, and deeply local. Think Spanish tortilla, padrón peppers, empanadas, hearty vegetable and bean soups, fresh seafood (including the region’s famous octopus), local cheeses, crusty bread, olive oil, and regional wines. Vegetarian options are readily available throughout the journey. Vegan can be accommodated, though flexibility is important, particularly in smaller towns where menus are traditional and locally driven. This is not a custom-diet retreat, and we won’t be dining in large international cities with endless menu substitutions. Instead, we lean into the culture — and that’s part of the magic. Lunch is not included, allowing you flexibility each day to stop where and when you choose. Camino lunches are simple and very affordable, with plentiful café stops along the route. Evenings are shared — often later, in true Spanish style — with unhurried dinners that bring conversation, connection, and a sense of place. One highlight is our Michelin-starred dining experience, a beautifully curated degustation that celebrates local produce and Galician culinary heritage. It is not “fancy for the sake of fancy,” but a thoughtful homage to the region’s ingredients and traditions. We walk well. We eat well. We do both with intention.

Schedule

This April 2026 journey begins with a vibrant night in Porto, enjoying local flavors and a market tasting experience, before transferring to Tui to start the Camino walk. Over the following days, the group walks scenic stages through O’Porrino and Redondella, staying in a mix of charming apartments and rustic countryside accommodations. The pilgrimage continues to Pontevedra for a two-night stay that includes a Michelin-starred lunch and time to rest and explore, followed by a longer walk to Caldas de Reis to enjoy its famous thermal pools. From there, the journey moves on to Padrón for a reflective retreat-style pause with mindfulness practices, before completing the final 24 km walk into Santiago, concluding the experience with a celebratory stay at the iconic Parador de Santiago.

Testimonials

info

A truly wonderful well organised Camino. Lisa our leader is extremely calm and collected even in times of adversity, sick bugs, power outages etc. A very thoughtful person, with a great sense of humour. She also gave us all a 'goodie bag' full of useful things for our walk. The whole trip was so well managed. Couldn't have hoped for more. I would go on any one of trips she organises, if only!

Lisa provided an excellent trip that was extremely well organized. The communication was excellent. It would have been a perfect trip if she could control the weather :-)

"This experience provided the best possible Camiño journey. Lisa is outstanding in every way. Her organizational/communication skills combined with her ability to find the best solution when the Camino presents a challenge (the power outage), only reinforced the need to be present on this adventure. The beautiful accommodations/ amazing food and mindfulness exercises further enhanced the experience. It was truly an epic experience that brought me peace, joy and understanding. Doesn't get any better.
