This writing ritual honors the Gemini new moon with a breath and body warm-up focusing on the Gemini body-rulerships (breath, arms, hands) and a connection to Gemini’s higher vibration, which is the heart-centered guidance of Venus. After the warm-up there are two prompts for automatic writing and connection with your higher self. You'll need: - A clear and quiet space to practice for about 40 minutes - Paper and something to write with -An open mind

Hello and welcome.

The following is a guided meditation by Renee Seals,

A somatic movement educator,

Energy worker,

And astrologer.

This meditation is intended to help support your embodied meditation practice.

If in the recording you are prompted to do something that doesn't feel good for your body,

Please adapt and modify to make it work for you.

Please also note that the content of this meditation sometimes explores deep and subtle states and memories,

And sometimes guided visualizations.

You are encouraged to work with discernment as you practice with them.

If any of the guidance Renee offers feels too activating or uncomfortable,

Please listen to your body's knowing and pause the recording until a later time if you wish to return to it.

These guided meditations range anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes and do not require any supplementary equipment to participate.

We hope you enjoy.

You you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you for this ritual you're going to need a couple of things.

So the first thing that you're going to need is some time.

Do this ritual when you at least have half an hour.

Half an hour just to be when you at least have half an hour.

Half an hour just to be.

Once you've done the ritual,

You can use these tools at any point and you can apply them with any amount of time.

But for the first time at least,

Have some time.

Another thing that you're going to need is clear space.

So you need space where you're not going to be interrupted,

Where you can really go into your own inner experience.

So you might need to create that in some way.

Ask your people to give you some space.

Go take a little walk.

And when you've found your space,

Clear your space.

Give thanks to the space.

And in whatever way makes sense to you,

You can attune to your space a little bit.

And I like to kind of imagine that from the space inside me,

There's like an emanating bubble of light or something that's flowing out into the space around me.

And in whatever way,

Again,

Makes sense.

You might want to do this through prayer.

You can do it through speaking out loud.

You can just imagine it or think about it.

You can imagine that the space is here to support you and to support this process.

Sometimes there are energies in a space.

And energies could be memories.

They could be clutter.

They could be entities of some kind.

Ghosts,

Spirits,

Guides.

So you might also in your emanating bubble of light create a kind of membrane.

And you could imagine that that membrane is protective and it's protective of your clear space.

And any energies that are going to enter it are beneficial.

And anything that is not beneficial will be held outside of it.

So if you've got a big pile of clutter sitting somewhere and it's going to distract you,

You imagine a membrane between you and that clutter.

And you go,

Okay,

Thanks for being there.

I'm going to get to you someday.

But for now,

My energy is with myself.

My energy is with this experience.

And I don't get distracted.

I won't get pulled.

In whatever way makes sense to you,

You can invite in the assistance of any spiritual connections that you feel.

So you might take a moment and imagine your ancestors,

Your ancestral helpers,

Any connections that you have to people in your lineage.

This doesn't necessarily need to be your family of origin.

It could be people that you just really feel connected to.

You really feel connected to their essence who have passed on.

And you might connect to the idea of guides.

So guides can be all kinds of different beings.

Angelic beings,

Animal beings,

Plant beings,

Alien beings.

This is an imagination.

So you can invite guidance in.

You can go,

I really would love to connect with the higher vibration of Venus.

Any Venusian beings that are here,

Please come and talk to me or something like that.

So be playful,

Be curious,

And invite any kind of spiritual assistance that you would like.

The other thing that you're going to need is a pen and paper.

And I would recommend having a large-ish sheet of paper,

At least normal,

Like printer paper size,

8.

5 by 11.

Not too small,

Nothing too small.

If you have a big sheet of paper,

That's awesome because you might need it.

And it will be good for you to feel kind of unconstrained in your movement.

Unlined paper is always my preference,

But you know,

Use what you have,

Use what you have.

So even if it's just a big piece of cardboard or something like that,

Some newsprint,

All of that is good.

You'll want instruments for writing with pencils,

Pens,

Markers,

Etc.

So then we'll begin.

And as I mentioned before,

You might want to take a moment,

Call in your spiritual guides,

Connect with your space.

And then let's really just get centered in ourselves.

And to get centered in ourselves,

Let's begin with the breath.

Take a couple of deep breaths in and out.

I like to breathe through my nose and exhale out my mouth.

And in the breathing through my nose,

I invite my breath to come in and touch the entire inner surface of my lungs.

So I breathe in a three-dimensional shape to the front and to the back and to the sides,

All the way up and down.

And then as I exhale out my mouth,

The sighing sound is so relieving.

And when we sigh,

We give our bodies permission to relax.

And so you might want to take a couple more breaths,

Inhaling through your nose or through your mouth,

Allowing the breath to fill your body in a three-dimensional sphere,

Three-dimensional shape.

And exhaling.

I spent many years studying with a man named Richard Freeman,

And I have so much love for him and for all of his teachings.

He had such a beautiful voice.

And when we would start meditation or when he would begin a Dharma talk,

Sometimes we would just start like this with breathing.

And he would remind us all,

You're just no one doing nothing,

Going nowhere.

Not as a cynical reminder,

As an offering or gesture of pure generosity.

Just no one doing nothing,

Going nowhere.

You breathe in,

You breathe in this present moment.

Here you are in this space and this time,

Living in a body,

Breathing a breath.

And as you exhale,

You let it all go.

Time and space will continue to flow on,

Change endlessly.

You can let go of all of the things that you are responsible for in this moment,

All of the little items of control.

Really try and feel yourself here and now.

Breathe into your front and your back.

Try and feel both directions.

Breathe into your up and to your down and try and feel both directions.

Breathe into your left and to your right and try and feel both directions.

And now we'll just use some light touch.

And I'm going to invite touch with both hands upon each other so you can rub your hands together,

You can feel the touch of your palms together,

Give your hands and your fingers a little bit of a massage.

You can feel the bones of your fingers and your hands.

All of these tiny,

Comparatively tiny bones,

How they connect to each other in your finger joints.

Feel how your fingers are so long.

They don't just stop at what looks like their base,

But they continue all the way through your hand.

Feel the long bones in your hand,

The long finger bones.

And feel your wrists.

And if you are gentle with your touch,

Use one hand to palpate the opposite wrist.

And as you use your hand,

You can feel the movement of the wrist.

And your wrist,

Of course,

Is where your carpal bones are.

And these bones are small pebble-like bones that are stacked in relationship to each other,

Almost like a bridge.

So there's a little bit of an arch that you might feel at the base of your wrist between the long bones of your thumb and your baby finger,

Or right at the base of your middle finger.

And then feel how your forearms have two bones.

And these two bones are in relationship to each other in such a way that allows a spiraling or rotating.

And the thumb side of your forearm rotates or radiates around the little finger side.

And if you can feel with one hand to the other arm,

These two bones,

One connects the little finger side of your hand to your elbow point and the other connects the thumb side of your hand to your inner elbow.

And if you turn your palms around,

You turn them in different directions,

You can feel how the thumb side bone rolls and rotates over the little finger side bone.

And you might feel your elbow joints.

Feel the bones and the points of your elbow.

And notice how the two bones of your forearm after the elbow give way to the one bone of your upper arm.

And when I get to my upper arms,

I always like to give a little bit of a squeeze to the muscles there,

Biceps and triceps.

If you're like me,

They're kind of soft and squishy.

So give your arms a massage.

And the deltoids,

They're muscles that are kind of the round shape muscles over your shoulder joint.

And then spread your arms out to the sides and turn your palms up and turn your palms down and feel the spiral of your arms that moves from your hands,

Your fingers,

All the way into your shoulder socket.

And then you might take one arm up and kind of wave it around or you might want to stretch through your side body and feel how your arm connects to your collar bones and your shoulder blades.

Move around between both sides and as you move an arm up or you kind of take it for a stretch,

Your lungs start to move.

So your shoulder slides on top of your ribs and your ribs connect to your spine and as you move your arms and stretch through your sides,

You're moving your ribs and then you're moving your lungs.

And so you could combine this with your deep breaths.

And as you move your arms around and just feel free to explore and we're warming up our hands,

We're warming up our arms and we're warming up our breath for this ritual.

So as you explore,

Just do what feels good.

Kind of fan your fingers,

Rotate your wrists,

Deep breaths,

Extend and spread through your wingspan.

When the arms move up,

You might feel like,

Ah,

My legs and pelvis can move down.

Get a delicious stretch across your spine.

Feel free to move your spine,

Move your ribs,

Rotate around,

Find the relationship between your torso and your fingertips.

Breathing in your three-dimensional sphere,

You might breathe all the way out into the tips of your fingers.

And then when you're ready,

Bring your hands to your chest and see if you can feel the beating of your heart.

And let's set the intention that anything that gets expressed through the hands will bring us into a deeper connection with our heart.

And take a very big deep breath and a long sigh out and remember that your heart is so big that your heart is so big that it's so big that it's so big that your heart is so big that your heart is,

That your energetic heart,

The heart that loves,

Is capable of loving across time and space,

That your heart is truly wise,

That when you're very connected to your heart,

It's when you're making the best decisions from a place of love.

And then when you're ready,

Pick up your pen or marker or pencil,

And we're going to start off using the dominant hand,

So the hand that you usually write with.

And we'll take five minutes and at the end of five minutes,

You'll hear a bell.

And in these first five minutes,

Your invitation is to write freely and to get it off your chest.

So anything that now needs to be expressed,

Anything that you've been worrying about,

Anything that's up on your mind,

Anything that needs to come out can come out.

And if you need a prompt,

Then begin by,

This is what I've been thinking about.

And then let it go.

Don't edit as you write.

Begin whenever you're ready.

Don't punctuate,

Don't edit,

Don't worry about what you're writing.

This is only for you.

So so so so so so so so so so All right,

Take whatever you need to complete.

And if you need more time,

Just pause the recording.

Take more time.

If you're ready to complete,

Then just put your pen down and either turn your page over.

So if you've filled one page,

That's great.

If you fill more than one page,

Just set them to a side.

Get a clear blank sheet in front of you and then put your pen or your pencil,

Your marker down on that sheet of paper and just let your hands rest.

Close your eyes and let's take a couple deep breaths again and let all that information go.

So as we take these couple of breaths,

Let's just acknowledge any thoughts that have been filling the airwaves recently.

And again,

Feel the three-dimensional shape of your breath,

The way that it moves out and around.

And then I'd like you to imagine all of those thoughts from your head and from the dominant hand turning into vapor.

And they're just kind of like dissipating out of you.

And so you could imagine all the thoughts floating out of your skull.

You might imagine all the words come tumbling out through your hand,

Pouring down into the ground,

Floating up and dissolving into the atmosphere.

All the thoughts of your conscious mind,

Kind of dissipating,

They've been acknowledged,

You know where they are,

You can come back if you need.

And then bring your attention into the length of your non-dominant arm,

Non-dominant hand,

And feel where that arm connects to your collarbone,

To your shoulder blade,

To your ribs,

And how the ribs wrap around your heart.

And use touch if it's helpful and get a clear imaginative pathway between the tips of your fingers all the way up through your arm and into your heart.

And as you breathe,

Imagine that your heart space is expanding,

Just like your breath in a three-dimensional orb.

And from the center of your heart,

There's this big growing glowing orb of inspiration,

Protection,

And intuition.

So the space of pure knowing that originates right at the center of the heart and that moves all the way out into your non-dominant arm,

Through the tips of the fingers,

Into a beautiful glowing sphere all the way around you.

If that imagery doesn't work for you,

Make it your own.

But into this sphere,

Into this space,

I'd like you to invite your higher self.

And however you imagine your higher self,

The part of you that is ageless,

Timeless,

That is much bigger than your earthly identity,

That has lived so many lifetimes,

That has traveled into the farthest reaches of space,

The part of you that is infinitely wise,

The part of you that knows exactly what your intention is for this lifetime,

What the seed intention is for this life.

Can you imagine that being now stepping into this sphere,

Into this space that you're in?

Imagine that being coming all the way around you,

And I imagine them coming from the back,

And kind of wrapping,

If they have arms,

Kind of wrapping their arms or wrapping their sphere of protection around you,

Coming into your heart space.

Feel the connection from your heart center into this kind of infinite heart,

Infinite intention,

Infinite intention,

And then imagine that they are going to move into your non-dominant hand.

And so if you're imagining them as a human being,

Then maybe their arm is connecting to your arm,

Into your hand.

If you imagine them as something other than human,

Then their energy is coming into your body,

Flowing through your heart and through your non-dominant hand.

So now we'll begin writing or drawing,

And from this place the invitation is to connect automatically.

There are a couple ways you can continue here.

The ways that I like to continue have to do with posing a question.

You can write your question down or you can speak it out loud.

I'd suggest beginning with your non-dominant hand and speaking your question out loud,

And then allowing anything to flow through your non-dominant arm.

You'll know when something is complete,

And you'll know if or when you need to change to the dominant hand.

Sometimes you might feel like,

Okay,

I need a lot of information to come through now,

So I'm going to switch to the hand that's easier to write with.

Then you just write automatically whatever comes into your consciousness.

If it feels like you're in your mind and you're trying to dictate what you're writing,

Then work through your non-dominant arm.

If no words are coming,

Then explore making shapes.

Just feel the way that your hand wants to express.

You can draw,

You can scribble,

There's no goal.

Maybe some words will come out,

Maybe they won't.

At any point you're free to pause,

Take breaths,

Reconnect with your body.

Try not to be in your brain,

So don't guide yourself through thoughts.

Definitely don't edit,

And don't critique anything.

Just be open,

Connect to your heart,

And let your heart express out through your arms.

So we'll take the next 10 minutes,

And then at the end of those 10 minutes again you'll hear a bell.

So so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so All right,

So when and as you're ready,

Come to completion.

And again,

Feel free to pause and continue exploring as long as you'd like.

And when you're done,

Just set your pen down and close your eyes again,

And take some deep breaths in and out.

And just notice the feeling in your body.

And if you've been working with your non-dominant hand,

As I've been,

You might have a lot of sensation.

So I know I'm a natural right-handed person,

And my left arm right now feels so alive,

Feels tingly and really like quite vibrant.

But just notice for yourself any feelings in your arms,

Any feelings in your head.

Again,

Breathing into your heart.

So a couple of options from here.

You might want to do this whole process again.

So one way that sometimes I work with automatic writing is to just go in and out of the automatic state.

And sometimes I'll write for a couple of hours,

Sometimes just 10 minutes or something.

But this is an exercise,

And it's a way to bridge your conscious mind with your more unconscious or higher mind,

Intuitive mind.

So you can continue.

You may also from here wish to move on with your day.

And if that's the case,

Then thank any of your spirit guides and thank your higher self.

And ask that you remember and integrate any information that you need to remember and integrate.

And so you might want to take a few additional moments right now and write down any intentions or make wishes.

Make your wishes simple.

Use language that facilitates ease,

Like easy,

Words like easy.

May I easily find my way into a vibrant relationship with my intuitive self and spirit guides would be one intention or one wish.

And you want to just frame it like,

I don't need to know how this is going to happen.

It's just my intention.

It's just something I'm putting out there.

Thank you so much for joining me for this ritual.

I hope that it has served you well.

Thank you so much for listening whenever,

Wherever you're listening across time and space.

I hope you've enjoyed this ritual.

Blessings on you.

May you be happy.

May you be free.

May you be joyfully connected to your intuition and higher self.

Until the next time.

Bye for now.
