Take this moment to arrive in your body and greet this new day with presence.

Find a comfortable seat or stand with your feet firmly on the ground.

Gently close your eyes if that feels good.

Begin to notice your breath moving in and moving out.

Inhale slowly through your nose.

Feel your chest expand.

Exhale gently through your mouth.

Feel your shoulders drop.

Let each breath root you more deeply into this moment.

Bring your awareness to your feet connected to the earth.

Imagine a warm steady energy rising up from the ground.

Through your feet,

Your legs,

Your spine,

All the way to the crown of your head.

With each breath,

Feel this steady energy grounding you.

Making you feel supported and calm.

If thoughts come,

Let them drift away like leaves floating downstream.

Now place a hand on your heart if you'd like.

And ask yourself,

What is one word or one feeling I'd like to carry with me today?

Breathe that word in.

Let it fill you up.

Take one final deep inhale and a long,

Soft exhale.

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

Breathe through your nose.

And gently open your eyes.

You are grounded.

You are steady.

You are ready for this new day.
