Today's meditation is called Energetic Uncaging.
What we're really exploring is the ways in which we've been conditioned to stay small.
They live in our bodies,
They live in our nervous systems,
And they live in our energy.
They are not just in our mind.
Things like overgiving,
Abandoning ourselves,
Suppressing anger,
Disconnecting from our truth,
And over time that creates energetic imprints.
We're not going to think our way out of it.
We're going to gently begin to feel,
Release,
And shift it.
Go ahead and find a comfortable position.
You can sit or lie down.
If it feels safe,
Gently close your eyes.
Take a deep inhale through your nose,
And a slow exhale out of your mouth.
Deep inhale through the nose,
Slow exhale out of the mouth.
One more time,
Breathing in.
One more time,
Breathing out.
Let your body begin to soften.
There's nothing to do.
There's nowhere to go.
There is nothing to figure out.
Bring your awareness down into your body.
Feel the weight of yourself being held by the surface beneath of you.
Let your shoulders drop.
Your jaw soften.
Your belly relax.
Now gently bring your awareness to your throat.
Notice if there's any tightness,
Any holding,
Any unspoken words.
You don't need to change anything.
Just notice.
Now imagining a soft warm light beginning to move through your throat.
Clearing,
Opening,
Softening.
Clearing,
Opening,
Softening.
If there's anything that's been held back,
Unsaid,
Suppressed,
Your body is allowed to begin releasing that now,
In its own way.
Now bring your awareness down into your solar plexus.
Your center of your power,
Just above your belly button.
This is where we hold control,
Fear,
Self-doubt,
People-pleasing patterns.
Notice what's here for you.
Again,
Imagining that same warm light moving through this space.
Releasing cords,
Releasing old patterns,
Releasing energetic imprints that are not yours to carry anymore.
Releasing,
Surrendering,
Letting go.
Releasing,
Surrendering,
Letting go.
Releasing,
Surrendering,
Letting go.
Now,
Imagine calling your energy back to you.
Back from people,
Past versions of you,
From expectations,
From places where you abandoned yourself.
Let your energy return to your body.
You get to take up space here.
You get to feel.
You get to express.
Keep breathing in this energy of bigness,
Of boldness,
Of being your truest,
Most authentic self.
Taking an even deeper breath in now.
Exhaling,
Letting everything settle.
Again,
Deep breath in.
Exhale,
Letting that energy settle.
One more time,
Breathing in.
Exhaling,
Letting yourself settle.
Feel your body.
Feel your breath.
Feel your energy.
And when you're ready,
Gently begin to come back.
