Namaste.

Sit comfortably and close your eyes if you can.

First we are going to relax our mind and body starting with controlled breathing.

I am going to count to five and I want you to slowly breathe in for the duration of the count and breathe out slowly for the count.

After a few breaths I will increase the count.

Ready?

Let's begin.

Breathe in,

Four,

Five,

Breathe out,

Two,

Go ahead and relax and let your breath return to normal.

Very good.

Let's take some time now to settle into ourselves.

Bring your attention to the top of your head,

Then slowly melt your awareness down your forehead,

Gently caressing your eyelids.

Allow your awareness to kiss your cheeks.

Relax your jaw.

Allow your tongue to fall away from the roof of your mouth.

Roll your shoulders back to let out any tension.

Relax your arms.

Squeeze your hands open and closed,

Then allow them to rest facing upward in a receptive state.

Breathe in and notice your chest rise.

Exhale gently,

Allowing your chest to relax.

Relax your stomach.

There's no need to suck it in.

Just let it all hang out.

Relax your hips,

Your thighs,

Calves,

Your heels,

And relax your toes.

And just notice how your entire body feels.

Now bring your attention to your forehead.

Roll your eyes upward and towards the middle,

In between your two eyebrows.

Consciously bring as much energy as you can to this place.

You might feel some slight pressure and that's okay,

That's normal.

Keep your attention here.

Keep bringing as much energy as you can.

Now go ahead and relax your eyes.

Keep your attention behind your eyelids and allow yourself to relax.

Relax your eyes.

Keep your attention behind your eyelids and allow yourself to fall into the emptiness here.

Take a deep breath in and release.

Relax into the space behind the eyes.

You can watch this space as if it were a movie screen.

Sometimes you may see shapes or colors,

Images,

Maybe nothing at all.

Everything is just as it is supposed to be.

For the rest of the meditation,

You may continue to listen to me or not.

Everything that happens is just as it's supposed to be.

There is nothing that needs to be accomplished other than to relax.

You are exactly where you are supposed to be,

Right here,

Right now.

Let's go on a sacred journey together.

I want you to imagine that you are in the middle of a beautiful forest surrounded by trees.

This might be a forest that you have been to before or perhaps you've only seen it in pictures.

Take a look around and notice the kinds of trees.

Notice the warm,

Soft soil under your feet.

The smell of nature is permeating your senses.

The warm sun is gently kissing your cheek.

You can hear a gentle stream nearby.

Off in the distance,

You can see a very tall tree towering far above the rest of the forest.

As you gaze at the tree,

It seems to beckon to you,

Calling you closer.

A little bird is chirping on the branches,

Eager for your attention to fall.

With love in your heart,

You follow the bird expectantly.

Through the woods,

Winding through trails,

You come closer and closer to the largest tree in the forest.

And now this tree is only a moment away.

As you approach,

You can feel the energy pulsing out from the trunk.

Find a comfortable place to sit,

Relax,

And enjoy the moment.

As you approach,

You can feel the energy pulsing out from the trunk.

Find a comfortable place to sit,

And allow your energy to commune with the tree,

Like an old friend,

Happy to see you.

The longer you sit here,

The stronger the connection becomes.

You feel that you are part of the tree,

And the tree is part of you.

Feel your weight on the soft ground beneath you.

Slowly you begin to melt into the ground,

And roots spring forth from the base of your spine.

Watch as the roots dig into the soil,

Moving further and further into the earth.

And as the roots grow down,

They become bigger and stronger,

Securing you into the energy of the earth.

Divine visions and inspiration fill your mind,

Enlightening you with knowledge and divine sight.

Allow whatever happens next to happen on its own.

Allow whatever happens next to happen on its own without trying to make anything happen.

Slowly the visions fade away,

And it's time to return to your physical body.

Take a deep breath in,

And release.

Allow yourself to relax in the comfort of this moment for as long as you wish.
