Namaste.
We're going to be doing a meditation designed to prepare our mind and our body to let go and release the things that are in our way that are old and tired and that no longer serve us.
Before we begin,
Make sure that you're either sitting or lying down in a comfortable position.
Take a deep breath in and release.
Take another deep breath in and release.
We're going to start with deep equal breathing.
So we will be breathing in for the count of five and breathing out for the count of five.
Ready?
Begin.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Go ahead and let your breath return to normal.
We're going to do a quick body scan so that our mind and attention are in the present moment.
Bring your awareness to your forehead and go ahead and melt your awareness down across your eyebrows.
Relax your jaw.
Relax your throat.
Notice your shoulders.
Go ahead and let them relax.
Your biceps,
Your forearms,
Your wrists,
Your thumb,
Your palm,
And your fingers.
Then go ahead and bring your attention to your chest.
See if you can notice your heartbeat.
Glide your awareness down to your stomach.
Notice your stomach rising and falling with your inhalation and your exhalation.
Maybe notice a little gurgle.
Relax your stomach.
Relax your hips,
Your thighs,
Your calves,
Your shins,
Your ankles,
Your heels,
The arch of your foot,
And your toes.
Then just notice your entire body.
Notice how it feels,
The soft sensation of the air on your skin.
Notice the sensation on your upper lip as you breathe in and out.
Imagine your two lungs,
Big machines whose job is to bring air and oxygen and life force energy from the outside to the inside,
Dispersing all of this oxygen and energy throughout your body with every inhalation and every exhalation.
So now ask your body to identify all the places,
All the little crevices where energy has been hiding and not releasing.
We want to breathe into those places and we want the life force energy that we breathe in to root out all those nooks and crannies.
So on our next big inhalation,
We're going to breathe in to our biggest capacity and when we exhale,
I want you to imagine black smoke coming from your nostrils and a release of this trapped energy.
So go ahead and take a deep breath in and hold it and bring all that pent up energy into your lungs and then go ahead and exhale,
Release that black smoke.
Take another deep inhalation,
Move that energy around your body and then go ahead and release,
Releasing that black smoke,
Filtering out all of that old and tired energy that we've been storing in our body.
Take another deep breath in and then go ahead and release,
Releasing all that waste and baggage and all of those things that no longer serve you and go ahead and take another deep breath in,
Sucking up that sweet life force energy and hold it for just a moment as that life moves in and around your body and then go ahead and release,
Releasing out that black smoke,
That stagnation,
That lethargy that's been in your veins for so long.
Take another deep breath in,
Biggest one yet,
Hold it for just a moment,
Feel every finger,
Every toe and move that energy around and then go ahead and release,
Breathing out that black smoke,
Letting go of all of those things that have been weighing you down.
Very good.
Go ahead and let your breath return to normal and just notice how you feel.
Notice your body.
Feel the aliveness within each and every cell.
There's so much room for energy when we let go of the things that have been stagnant within our body.
Now,
Place your right hand on your root chakra.
For women,
This will be the opening of the womb and for men,
You can place your hand on the perineum muscle below the genitals.
Now,
Gently contract the muscles here,
Gently pulling the energy upward and then release.
Go ahead and gently contract those muscles again and release,
Contract and release.
We're waking up that root chakra,
We're bringing energy to this place.
Go ahead and contract and release.
Very good.
Now,
Go ahead and just relax.
Keep your hand on your root chakra.
We are going to be announcing root chakra affirmations.
I will read them and just notice how you feel as I'm reading and send the energy of my words to the place here where your right hand is on your chakra.
I call upon divine energy to release and let go of all limiting patterns that bind me to earth.
All thoughts of fear,
Doubt,
Unworthiness,
Guilt,
Blame,
Confusion and shame are dissolved,
Dissolved from my mental body now.
All these limitations are lifted in the light of divine love.
I am free and open to receive my good.
Abundance flows into my life now.

You can stay in this state of awareness for as long as you'd like.
And when you're ready,
You can come back to your body.
