There is nothing wrong with asking for that.
Like we talked about yesterday,
You command a how or a what or a why in your meditation and in your practice.
There is nothing wrong.
If you need a sign,
Like if you need a little reach around.
I grew up in gay clubs.
I'm kicking back right now.
If you need something like that,
You can ask for that.
In your meditation,
You can say,
Look,
I need something to happen here because I'm showing up and I'm doing what I need.
You command that.
I try to be careful about how much I ask for that because I don't want to be too.
.
.
It builds faith in consciousness.
Because I was talking to someone about this yesterday.
It's like,
Why is it at the last hour?
Does the money come in or the thing come in that I need?
I think that's probably a big question for a lot of entrepreneurs.
It's like,
I'm always taken care of,
But why is it that I have to like for.
.
.
It's like the 31st and the thing happens.
Why do I have to.
.
.
Can we do something about that?
My answer to that,
It doesn't have to be that way,
But one of the things that I've noticed for myself is that all of that builds your grit and your nervous system to be able to handle more.
If you're finding that that's part of some sort of programming that seems to be repetitive and that's the way that thing's showing up,
There's things you can do about it.
A lot of times the reason why you have to get the trenches there is because it builds faith in consciousness.
It strengthens you,
Whatever it is.
This can be applied way beyond entrepreneurship to any part of our lives.
Why do things happen?
Why are we tested?
Because it builds your consciousness to hold the state of knowing and really work to not indulge in self-doubt.
It builds something in you that's irreplaceable.
It's a MasterCard commercial,
Priceless.
Is that MasterCard or Visa?
It's MasterCard,
Right?
Priceless.
You can't buy that.
You can't put a price tag on building that grit and that ability to.
.
.
I used to say last year is kind of like I was finally at the point where I would get the phone calls or the.
.
.
Jane's famous for the.
.
.
She might be out there.
The all capital exclamation,
Like seven exclamation point emails or text messages.
I get that stuff and I'm like.
.
.
At some point after the first year of business,
The first year was much.
.
.
Was a major test of the emergency broadcast.
I was strengthening and building and then after the second year and Yogi Bhajan talks about this.
He gave all these amazing courses called salesmanship course and all these business courses.
He really spent a lot of time on these teachings.
We didn't even scratch the surface last year of how many teachings there are around prosperity,
Business.
He called it salesmanship,
Which I think is really interesting and he did that on purpose.
What that means is what's the difference between providing an invaluable,
Creative,
Powerful service to humanity and hustling.
The whole course is on that.
It's really good stuff.
It's really awesome because salesmanship is such an interesting word and I really meditated on it.
Why did he use this word and I really got this thing around?
There's so many of these teachings but he talks about the first year of business,
Basically you're just shaking in your boots on some level.
You're having to up level and the business itself has its own identity and you have to start to serve the identity.
It's just like having a kid.
You're serving the thing and it's crying at night.
Then the second year,
It's kind of like.
.
.
The second year,
Which was we talked about last year,
It was like they call me,
The building's on fire and it's like,
Cool.
I'm doing my sadhana and call the fire department.
I'll be in in a couple hours.
Finally I got to that point last year and now if I get the all caps exclamation point,
I don't even read it anymore.
See,
This is the third year of business.
You built enough nervous system strength and you can put this in any business or whatever you want to call it.
Same thing with parenting.
By the time the kid gets three,
You're not all of the time jittering around like,
Oh,
Don't do that.
You're used to it like eating dirt.
You've gotten.
.
.
It's cool.
Everything's going to be fine.
You built the auric strength basically to hold the capacity of this kind of creative manifestation.
But yogi bhajan goes through kind of what you need to do,
Those things you need to be looking for,
The guideposts of how to kind of build it.
The question is,
Why doesn't this happen on day two instead of day 31 of the month that I get the money I needed or the thing or the sign?
Why it doesn't is because you got to build that strength.
When you build the strength,
It gives you consciousness.
That's an interesting.
.
.
Because as you build the strength and you build the ability to hold yourself out of the kind of negative magnetic eddy of self-doubt and also just whatever negative emotion.
Self-doubt is usually what it is,
But some version of that,
Self-pity.
Sometimes it's.
.
.
Some of you have the self-pity thing.
I do.
It's just like,
Why?
Whose idea was this?
So whatever your version of that is,
You're building the strength in your nervous system and your magnetic field and your aura to not go there.
It may be kind of over here in the periphery,
But you're not getting magnetically drawn into it.
And as you build that,
You will less and less and less get magnetically drawn into it to the point where it's like you get the email and it's like,
Eh,
I'm not even going to read it because I'm just not going to go there.
It's not going to be productive and I need my energy for here.
And someone had asked me that last year.
I thought this was a good question.
Somebody was interviewing me and she's like,
You talk about the university and the thing and then.
.
.
And she's like,
You just don't seem like you have any doubt about it.
And I was like,
I thought that was a good.
.
.
I was like,
Oh,
That's interesting.
And I was like,
Well,
Part of the reason is because I've trained my mind through my meditations to understand that I actually can't afford the self-doubt.
There's so much being demanded of me energetically throughout the day is that I am on a budget and the self-doubt takes 30% of your energy like that.
So it's really,
Really like,
You know,
And some days maybe it's worth that.
You need to get into it and like beat your head up against the wall and whatever.
But to answer the question,
Why does it happen on day 31 and not day two is it's going to keep on happening on day 31 and not day two of the month until you get it.
Until you get that it can happen on day two and you're still willing and able to go further,
Build more conscious,
Take more risks,
Be more available for some sort of creative discovery.
The risk taking no creative and entrepreneur and person who feels alive in their life on whatever level is comfortable.
So we have to kind of throw that one totally out.
So it's about how do we kind of gain the strength of our nervous system to be in discomfort and how do we do that?
Well,
We hold our arms up in the air for ungodly amounts of time.
That's basically what you're doing.
You're just like you're training yourself.
I'm really wildly uncomfortable.
I'm having all sorts of negative impulses and emotions and itches.
I got to itch.
Oh my God.
I have the itchiest.
I mean,
All of a sudden,
You know,
Or I have to move my legs or how,
You know,
It's like all you can do is think about that,
Like in those in those moments,
You're just training yourself for the moments where you're in the trenches of whatever the thing is that you're doing and you're just wildly uncomfortable.
And like how long can you sustain that discomfort?
That's that's all the practices really ultimately come down to.
How long can you sustain the discomfort without going into your negativity and losing energy over it?
It's like the Revenant.
It's actually a pretty good metaphor because,
You know,
He's fighting for his life and he's very aware that he has X amount of energy and X amount of time because he's fighting for his life.
So everything he does,
Every likely,
You know,
Every little,
You know,
Because he's dragging himself around.
Every one of those is like a major,
You know,
Export of energy.
So you kind of have to,
You know,
If you really want to get down to it,
You kind of have to put yourself in a little bit of that because if you weren't in that kind of life and death and this kind of,
You know,
Some sort of pressure,
Then you wouldn't,
You know,
The way that we the way that we habitually have learned how to live our lives is just no no energy budget or expenditure whatsoever.
So we're just all over the place emotionally all over the place with our glandular system all over the way.
The breath is shallow,
The mind is unfocused and this is what we call life.
Right.
I mean,
That's basically the way that,
You know,
The most people are living is just in a total kind of chaos of the,
You know,
Wastages of their mind and body.
So we're just going to kind of create a space in you today that is very healing.
I'd like to work with any disease of the mind and the body and the 10 bodies,
The chakras,
The tatvas,
Any imbalance or dis-ease in the system.
We're going to go in this very,
Very healing space and open that up so that you can have this kind of nervous system strength to maneuver these,
You know,
Whatever's happening in your life and whatever risks you're being asked to take in a graceful way.
Because you have to take those risks in order for things to change and in order for you to have up level kind of experiences,
Which would show up like what our friend emailed about,
You know,
You're pushing yourself,
You're taking some risks,
You're,
You're,
You know,
Putting yourself in a slightly uncomfortable situation.
You're holding that posture,
That kriya energetically,
You know,
In all the different levels that we have to hold that.
And then that new kind of organization of your system allows for more income,
More love,
More,
You know,
Whatever the prosperity kind of currency is in your life.
Now,
If you need a sign,
Which is back to the original point,
If you need a sign,
Ask for it today.
Just,
You know,
I'm careful when I ask for it because sometimes I feel like,
You know,
Not getting the sign is actually what I need.
So I'm careful.
I really,
I take it seriously when I,
When I request these things from the universe,
I really,
I try to be,
You know,
Respectful that it's a little bit of,
You know,
It's kind of,
It's cute.
Like I take it as like,
You know,
Okay,
Like I'm gonna,
I need a sign right now.
But I only do it,
It's like the,
I know nobody watches the Lord of the Rings or anything,
But it's like,
You know,
It's that moment where,
You know,
It's,
It's in the magic mythology,
That moment where,
You know,
Look to the east on the seventh day of the,
At dawn and you will see,
You know,
And it's like the darkest hour and you will have a sign.
So you have to,
You know,
Make sure you,
You're,
You're respectful when you ask for these things.
Cause I think a lot of times people are,
They,
All they can operate on are the,
You know,
Some sort of sign.
It's very new age that way,
That kind of new age compulsion towards like,
Have you guys seen that Amy Schumer universe video?
Okay.
You have to,
You have to see it.
What's that guy's name?
The science guy,
Bill,
Bill Nye.
He comes out,
I'll,
I'll,
I'll retell it to you and then you have to YouTube,
YouTube it.
He comes out and he's like,
We have found out finally after,
You know,
Whatever,
Hundreds of years of investigation.
We have finally found out in science has been proven what the universe actually is.
And then he says,
And then it,
I think it,
It,
It cuts to like a,
A two white girls sitting at a table,
Like in a coffee shop.
And she was like,
You know,
I just didn't know like what kind of supplements I should be taking anymore.
And she's like,
And then I turned around and like my magnesium fell out of my bag and I was like,
This is a sign from the universe.
And then,
And then it cuts to Amy Schumer,
Like on a,
On a cycling bike,
You know,
Like at soul cycle with her friend.
She's like,
Yeah,
I'm sleeping with my boss and you know,
He was going to leave his wife,
But then like,
He's like not leaving his wife.
And then I was like behind this girl in yoga and she had,
She had a shirt on that said just chill.
And I was like,
That is a sign from the universe.
And then it cuts back to Bill Nye.
And he's like,
We found out that the universe is really a way to,
You know,
Let,
You know,
Confused white girls know that they're on the right path.
It's very funny.
You have to watch it.
But so that's like,
That's not what we want to get into.
That's not where we're going with this.
That's not what we want and it's a very good,
Like it does a good job showing that kind of consciousness that,
You know,
We're basically kind of in our confusion and addiction to kind of habitual externalization of how to make choices and what is right action.
And you know,
We just want people to tell us what to do basically,
But we've used this kind of the universe.
That's not where we want to go.
But where we do want to go is if you need a little,
You need to get thrown a bone of some sort,
Then,
You know,
Make a prayer.
Like look,
I'm doing my best.
I'm showing up.
I'm feeling uncomfortable here in whatever way I'm,
I'm pressed up against the wall in whatever way.
And I would like to have a sign and,
And whether that's,
You know,
Exactly I always take it to be,
Cause the last time I asked for this,
Which was pretty recently,
It was definitely like a,
You know,
Time to push the eject button moment,
A time to call in the forces.
I said,
You know,
I really need a sign.
And the sign that came was super linear.
It was not symbolic.
So I think it's really,
You know,
You can be really clear about how,
How you need the language of your own infinite capacity to speak to you.
Cause we all have a different way that that needs to happen.
And you can be really clear about that.
Like that's,
That's being a yogi to know what you,
What language do you need to be spoken?
I needed like a linear,
I needed something really directly.
I didn't,
I didn't want like a,
Oh,
I got like a flower from my boyfriend.
And that was a sign,
You know,
I didn't want that.
It's like my boyfriend owns a flower business.
Like forget that.
Um,
It's true.
Um,
You know what I mean?
So I needed something like super linear.
So that's what we're,
That's what we're looking for.
So you know,
If you need something,
Well,
However you need the message to come,
Get clear about that.
Like that's really responsible.
I feel like you come,
You come and basically you're just asking yourself to create a situation and that can then mirror back to you what you already know.
Right?
So that's all you're really,
I mean,
You know,
So,
But,
But sometimes we need,
You know,
We need this stuff.
It's helpful.
So we'll,
We'll work with it today and you can kind of make a prayer and we'll go into this,
Um,
This mantra that Chaturthaka Varti,
Um,
A very beautiful,
Beautiful sound current,
Very healing.
And it takes away kind of the deep,
Uh,
Psychic phobias that basically keep us from,
Um,
Those kind of deeper phobias are really one of the major things that are keeping you from stepping into a bigger part of yourself.
There are these kind of,
Um,
They're very psychic in many ways.
They're,
They're kind of,
Uh,
Eckhart totally calls it a parasite,
Um,
Which I think is interesting because basically he's naming something that is an internal process,
But it's become so externalized that it almost shows up as a third party.
It's a subconscious thought form,
A deeply ingrained subconscious thought form almost can show up as a possession.
It's not a possession.
I'm not,
I'm,
We're not going to go there.
There are possessions in the world,
But,
Um,
It's not a possession usually,
Uh,
But what it is is it's so heavy on you.
It's psychic kind of miscommunication or psychic phobia,
I think is a good word for it.
It's so heavy on you that the moment that you,
You know,
Every time you step,
You know,
Two steps forward,
You get that pull towards it.
If you've ever noticed,
Um,
Like when you're med,
You may not notice cause people don't,
It's so heavy that you can't even see it physically,
But when you're meditating,
You're doing something and you can't hold the mudra or,
Um,
How did you even was making fun of me because we were doing some rebirth thing.
Um,
During that level two,
We just did.
And I was literally like,
And he's afterwards,
He was like,
Did you see yourself?
And I did.
I actually did not see what I could.
I couldn't like,
It was so heavy.
The thing that was clearing,
I was like,
I was like up against a gale wind.
That's what it felt like.
It was really,
That's one of the most intense physical experiences I've ever had.
Like I couldn't sit up.
I was so like,
It was so heavy.
Um,
Meaning like I was kind of,
I think I was either leaned forward or back a little bit,
But you may not notice because those things are so heavy,
You actually can't feel it in your body.
You think you're sitting up like this and the,
The,
The,
The psychic phobia is so heavy on you that you're actually like this,
But you think you're like this.
It's funny.
It's really funny.
Um,
And so,
So this stuff is like you,
You,
You know,
It's smart of Eckhart to call it something in this kind of parasitical language.
Cause he's basically trying to say that the thing gets so much energy that it almost becomes a third party situation.
And you're the host to that third party situation.
But you know,
We have an app for that,
So we'll get at it.
And this mantra,
Chaturthaka Varti is really a great one for this.
So if you find yourself like in a weird,
Um,
You know,
Psychic phobia around things that don't really make sense for your life right now,
It's like some,
Like,
It's like that girl in that,
Um,
Bob and Bob Newhart thing that I love,
Which is like,
She's like,
I'm afraid that I'm going to get buried alive.
And it's like,
She's never been buried alive.
So nobody's trying to bury her alive,
But her whole life is about her fear of getting buried alive.
That's where she's spending her whole life.
But that sounds funny,
But that's basically what we're all doing.
Okay.
So that's why we,
You know,
But this Chaturthaka Varti,
You can sleep to it.
It's very helpful to clear these kind of major glass ceiling kind of,
Cause the glass ceiling is basically this psychic phobia that every time you try to like,
Um,
Excuse me,
Excuse me,
And it just,
You know what I mean?
You're just carrying the thing around with you and you're like,
Why can't I make more money?
Why don't I meet the thing?
Why don't I do the,
You know,
Why can't,
Because you just can't get the thing just goes with you.
Right?
So that mantra is very good to break this,
These psychic phobias or these parasites of subconscious kind of,
Um,
Patterns.
So you can sleep to it.
It's a good one to sleep to.
I really recommend it,
Especially if this is stuff you're dealing with,
You're feeling a little,
You know,
A lot of anxiety about stepping into another part of your kind of incarnation and that stuff.
And this time on the planet,
It's really,
This is what we're doing right now.
So sleep to this mantra and you're going to,
You'll,
You'll notice a difference right away.
Teja slept to this mantra or has had it going in her house for like 40 years or 35 years.
Like it's one of her major,
Major,
Major mantra she,
She uses.
Um,
So it's really,
It does some,
It does some wonder.
Does anybody already sleep to it?
You sleep to it,
Right?
It's done you some major good,
Right?
Hadjota.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That rhythm of the,
One of the tracks I'll play of it,
If this old school version of it,
Yogi Bhajan oversaw the rhythm and it's very,
Very balanced thing.
You can kind of feel it in the rhythm.
Did anybody else raise their hand?
This sleeps to it.
You drive to it.
Oh cool.
Yeah.
You can sleep to it at night,
You know,
And you can tell your clients too.
That's a really good one.
If you work with people,
Um,
Get them to sleep to that mantra.
It's very,
Very balancing and fortifying.
Um,
And it's kind of a sneak attack cause it does so much without them having to do anything.
Um,
Okay,
Good.
Yes.
Bring the palms together.
It's a good one.

I love this perspective and I am so grateful for your humor! Becoming more awakened does not have to be such serious business! Can you please let me know what the mantra for sleeping was that you referred to? I didn’t catch it. Very interested in giving it a go!! 💜
