Hello and a warm welcome to Inside Timer.
I am Rahul Singh.
Before the day begins asking anything of you,
Give yourself a few moments to arrive.
Perhaps you know how quickly the morning can begin.
The eyes open and almost immediately the mind starts moving.
What needs to be done?
Who needs a reply?
What happened yesterday?
What may happen later.
Sometimes nothing has happened yet.
And already you feel behind.
The body is barely awake.
But the mind has begun negotiating with the entire day.
The way you wake up is not always the way you need to continue.
You may wake with tension.
With heaviness.
With urgency.
With thoughts already moving quickly.
But that is simply the state you woke in.
It does not have to become the state you live the day from.
This is what we mean by a reset.
Not forcing yourself to become perfectly calm.
Not trying to erase how you feel.
Simply allowing the body and mind to discover what this moment actually requires,
Instead of continuing with whatever momentum you woke up carrying.
So for now,
Nothing to solve.
Nothing to organize.
Just arrive.
Notice where your body is supported.
The bed beneath you,
The chair or your feet meeting the floor.
Feel the weight of the body.
The temperature of the air.
A sound somewhere around you.
Just notice what is actually here.
Now bring attention to the jaw.
The shoulders.
The hands,
The belly.
See what is already holding more effort than this moment requires.
Let the tongue rest.
Allow the jaw to become easier.
Let the shoulders fall naturally.
Soften the hands.
Leave the rest alone.
Sometimes we create more tension by trying too hard to remove tension.
So do less.
Notice and allow.
Now become aware of the breath.
Not a deep breath.
Not a special technique.
Just the breath already happening.
Feel one inhale arrive.
One exhale,
Leave.
Again?
Breathing in naturally.
And letting the exhale finish without hurry.
Then leave the breath alone.
Let the body breathe for itself.
We often imagine that a good morning begins by adding something.
More discipline,
More energy,
More focus,
A better routine.
But sometimes the clearest beginning comes from removing something.
A little unnecessary urgency.
A little tension.
A little mental noise.
Before you add more to the morning.
See what you do not need to carry into it.
Now allow your attention to move outward.
If your eyes are closed,
Gently open them.
And before reaching for a screen.
Just look.
Let the eyes take in the room.
The Light.
The space.
Perhaps some movement outside.
Listen to what is already happening around you.
Before attention becomes divided among many things,
Allow it to become whole for a moment.
The mind often wakes by entering thought.
The body wakes by entering the world.
So let yourself enter the world,
Not through thinking about it.
But through being here for it.
Now begin to bring some movement into the body.
Move the fingers,
The toes.
Roll the shoulders gently.
Let the neck move naturally.
Begin to lengthen through the spine.
If you are lying down.
You may slowly come to sitting when you are ready.
Let the posture become a little more upright,
Not rigid.
A week.
Calm but alert.
Calmness is not the absence of energy.
It is energy without unnecessary agitation.
You do not need to choose between being peaceful and being ready for the day.
You can be both.
Feel the legs supporting you.
Let the spine rise naturing.
Allow the eyes to become fully awake.
Let the body understand the day is beginning.
Now notice what the mind is doing.
Perhaps it has already returned to the day.
A task.
A conversation.
An appointment.
Something unfinished.
Something you are looking forward to.
Something you would rather avoid.
There is nothing wrong with this.
The mind anticipates.
It remembers.
It prepares.
But there is something worth seeing clearly.
Knowing what is ahead is not the same as carrying it now.
You can know there is much to do.
Without carrying the whole day at once.
You can prepare without mentally living through everything before it happens.
So notice what the mind is trying to carry ahead of time.
And let it remain where it belongs.
Leader.
Not Rejected.
Not forgotten.
Simply not here yet.
This moment first.
The next moment when it comes.
Now ask yourself one quiet question.
Not what do I need to achieve today,
But how would I like to move through today.
Perhaps,
Steady.
Clear.
Be patient.
Or simply present.
Choose one quality,
No affirmation,
No performance.
Just remember it.
And bring the question closer,
What would that quality look like in the next hour?
Perhaps steadiness means not rushing.
Perhaps clarity means doing one thing before opening five others.
Keep it small.
Keep it practical.
A day is not lived all at once.
It is lived through ordinary moments.
And there is one simple reset you can carry with you.
Whenever you notice yourself becoming internally hurried,
Feel your feet.
Release one unnecessary tension.
Notice one natural breath.
Then return your attention to what is actually in front of you.
Feet?
Release.
RETURN That is enough.
You may need to move quickly today.
You may have many things to do.
You may need to respond,
Decide,
Organize,
Solve.
But moving quickly and hurrying inside are not the same thing.
Outer speed does not require inner hurry.
You can move with purpose without carrying urgency in every movement.
Now take one comfortable breath in.
And let it leave completely.
Let yourself become fully awake,
Ready to move,
Ready to begin.
The morning does not need to be conquered.
It only needs to be entered.
You may need to move quickly today,
But outer speed does not require inner hurry.
The way you wake up is not always the way you need to continue.
Begin from here.
