Welcome.
So in this series we're exploring the four elements earth,
Air,
Fire and water.
And in today's meditation we will be working with the earth element.
So whenever you're ready making yourself comfortable and finding a point in front of you to focus on.
Bringing your focus deeply on to that point and let's take a big breath in and a nice slow breath out.
Holding the focus and again big breath in and this time as we breathe out holding the focus but closing down your eyes and once more with the eyes closed but keeping that feeling of focus breathing in and a nice slow breath out and allowing your imagination now to take you into a beautiful place in nature.
And this can be a place that you know really well and you've traveled to many times before or it can be a place simply in your imagination.
Allowing yourself to just go wherever that first inclination takes you.
Don't overthink it,
Second-guess it.
Just go into nature now and seeing this natural environment around you.
Making yourself comfortable in this environment where you find yourself maybe sitting down or nestling down into the earth.
And wherever you are just noticing the colors,
The sounds,
The smells,
The textures.
And then in the distance wherever you are you notice a really beautiful,
Large,
Old tree.
And this tree is really speaking to you.
It's calling you.
You become very curious.
Your eye wants to see this tree in more detail.
So you start to move towards the tree.
Walking to the tree until you reach this grand old tree and maybe place your hands onto it.
Feeling the texture of the bark.
Feeling the earth under your feet.
Maybe feeling the shade that it provides.
Breathing the fresh air that it purifies.
And then it's like the tree invites you to sit down leaning your back against its trunk.
And this ancient tree kind of softens into you.
So you feel almost that you get enveloped softly into this very wise tree.
You feel its energy just wrapping around you and holding you safe and solid.
You start to kind of tap into its roots and send your energy down into the matrix of the tree roots.
Connecting in to the earth's heartbeat.
Sinking your heartbeat into the earth's heartbeat.
Feeling very grounded and supported by the earth.
The earth element is really what holds us.
And in life we're often doing a lot of holding for others.
So as we connect with the earth how would it be to allow yourself to be completely held for a moment.
Letting go of any holding,
Nourishing,
Caretaking that you've been doing and allowing yourself to receive that from the earth.
And you might imagine that as simply being held by this beautiful tree and all of its years of wisdom.
Or perhaps other earth elements start to come in now to your awareness.
Whether that's other plants,
Animals,
Colors,
Textures.
Whether you even sink down into the dirt,
Into the layers of the earth.
Deeply grounding yourself.
Allowing yourself to be deeply nourished through your body,
Your mind and spirit.
And creating foundations now that are strong,
Unshakable,
With very clear boundaries.
There's nothing to do here.
Simply be held.
Simply allow the foundation to ground.
Opening to receive.
This is like the Great Mother's embrace.
Allow yourself to be embraced with unconditional love,
With abundant support.
Given freely with no strings attached.
Allowing yourself to be loved by the earth element.
And just take a moment to notice how it feels to be held.
How it feels to have strong foundations.
Notice if there are any specifics that are coming through as insights or messages from the earth that might be relevant for you right now.
What would the earth like you to know right now?
How would it like you to feel?
And then whenever you're ready you can pause and stay here for longer if you wish.
But whenever you're ready offer gratitude to the earth and start to make your way back into your body,
Into your room.
Maybe gently wiggling the fingers and toes or taking a stretch,
Taking a sigh.
And when it feels right opening your eyes,
Knowing you've gifted yourself this time and nourishment.
