Welcome.

In this series of meditations we're exploring the four elements earth air fire and water and in today's meditation we're exploring the air element.

So let's begin.

So start by finding a point to focus your eyes on in front of you bringing that focus deeply onto that spot as you take a big breath into your belly holding the focus as you slowly breathe out and again holding the focus taking a slow deep breath in and this time as you breathe out closing down your eyes.

Once more breathing in maintaining that mental point of focus and as slow as you can this time breathing out really arriving into this moment here and now.

And then let the breath return to its natural rhythm.

And I invite you now to imagine a beautiful mountain.

And this mountain might be one that you know really well or it might be one you've seen or it simply might be made within your imagination.

And you're standing on this mountain top the peak of the mountain.

Now make sure that you feel safe on this mountain top.

Maybe there is a nice little fence around you or maybe this mountain top just has a nice safe flat top that you can really relax into.

So once your mountain feels comfortable you might like to sit on to the mountain top really feeling this wisdom of the mountain connected into your base connecting into your pelvis and your roots.

And you start to notice now the wind the breeze blowing sweeping away any mental fog or clutter allowing the air element to just gently caress and cleanse your being.

Particularly the energy around you and particularly the mental energy.

The air element really aligns with the mind the skin the large intestines.

A lot of the protection systems like the microbiome are connected to the air element.

So let the air just move away anything that maybe is foggy or stagnant.

Let it create movement and life force through you and around you.

Your mind becoming clearer and brighter and more open.

Feeling the lightness of the air.

The freedom.

And you might want to sway imagining even that you're like a tree on this mountain top that's getting gently moved by the wind.

Maybe your spine just wants to wriggle or bend a little.

Let this air element move you.

As you're breathing the air into your lungs feel that fresh air coming into you this prana life force filling you up.

And then cleansing out anything you don't need as you exhale.

So taking a moment to play with the breath.

And to play with being moved by the breath by the air.

Letting the air element come into any little pockets in your body that have been hard for you to get to hard for you to massage out that the air come into those pockets and breathe fresh life force into them.

Lightening your load.

Breathing that prana in and then breathing out anything stagnant with each exhale.

Breathing in the life force.

Breathing out stagnation or clutter.

Breathing in clarity.

Breathing out confusion.

Taking some nice full deep breaths.

And in this state of lightness and clarity.

What do you see?

What's available for you here that perhaps wasn't a moment ago?

As you look out from your mountaintop.

What is it that you see or you know or you feel?

What can you access here?

Now that things have had a breath of fresh air.

Is there something that you're desiring?

Something you're wishing for?

Is there a prayer that you'd like to offer?

Nice way to work with the air element here is to see yourself or imagine yourself lighting some incense.

And as you light this incense and you place it into the mountaintop.

Send your prayer up to the heavens with the smoke of the incense.

See the air element carrying your wish.

Your desires.

Up to the heavens.

Up to the sky.

Up to the cosmos.

Allow the air element to take it where it needs to go.

You don't have to know.

And as you send up your wish.

Allowing the air to take it.

Feel the lightness of that.

Feel the expansiveness.

Breathing in new possibilities and fresh perspectives.

And then whenever you're ready.

Start to make your way back into your body.

Back into the room where you are.

Maybe gently bringing some movement into your fingers and toes or taking a stretch.

Taking a yawn.

And whenever you're ready.

Allowing this lightness of air to open your eyes and take you on your day.
