This is Rasa.
Good morning and welcome to the start of this new day.
To begin this meditation practice,
Find yourself a comfortable,
Warm space to sit,
Either with legs crossed or gently resting hips back onto heels in a kneeling posture.
Reaching out for any pillows,
Any props required to elevate the hips and to support the low back.
And now close your eyelids down softly.
Allow the backs of your palms to rest effortlessly on your knees or on your thighs,
Wherever they fall comfortably.
Encouraging the inside of the palms to face upwards,
In the direction of the sky or the ceiling above you.
A gesture to receive all that has been intended for you,
Not just within this meditation,
But for the day that is about to unfold before you.
And now,
From this place of openness and receptivity,
Begin to cultivate an awareness of your back body.
Feel your entire back.
Adjust yourself so that your ears rest over your shoulders,
Over your hips,
Bringing the entire spine into alignment,
Into attunement.
Silently,
Mentally,
Scanning from the very crown of the head slowly,
Down to the sit bones that are underneath you.
Rest evenly underneath you.
Feeling yourself balanced.
Feeling yourself grounded.
Feeling yourself supported as you transition from a state of sleep into a state of awakening.
Turning up the corners of your lips slightly into a soft and effortless smile and tenderly welcoming yourself to the beauty of this morning.
Settle into stillness.
Settle into this moment.
A space of calmness.
A space of purest peace.
As you dwell in this newfound tranquility,
Begin to draw your attention to your heart.
Tune into perpetual beating inside your chest,
Just to the left of midline.
Take a moment to connect with its vibration,
Pulsating sense of aliveness that resides within you.
Taking a moment to tune into your heartbeat.
Feel your own heart beating inside of your chest.
This heart is an infinite wellspring of love.
This heart is an infinite wellspring of forgiveness,
Of compassion,
Of acceptance.
Feel it to be true.
Visualise that with every inspiration of air,
You breathe lightness into the space in and around your heart.
Just breathe it in.
Allowing your heart to effortlessly be breathed.
Filling this area with lightness and feeling as though every ounce of new space you create with your breath produce a soft glow.
A halo radiating from deep within the chest.
Pure,
Radiant light illuminating from the inside out.
As the heart becomes warm and bright from the embers of this glow,
Begin to cultivate a feeling of appreciation.
Cultivate a feeling of appreciation for all of the gifts that you have in your life right now.
Acknowledge appreciation,
Not just an intellectual concept but as a living,
Breathing embodied experience.
From the place of genuine thankfulness,
Silently ask and feel the question,
What does appreciation feel like?
Where does it live within my body?
Appreciation is the ultimate state of receivership,
The key to lasting contentment,
The foundation for all abundance in your life.
Slowly,
Mindfully,
Begin to draw one hand onto your beating heart.
Feeling into the pulsing force below your palm.
Underneath this hand resides the most authentic love and the source of your power and your true intelligence.
Everything you will ever need lives in alignment with this love within this heart.
And no matter what presents itself in the day ahead,
Take a comfort in knowing that you can always come back to this place of peace,
This place of acceptance,
This place of genuine love and appreciation,
This source of intelligence and inner power.
This is your homecoming,
With and in your own body.
With your hand still resting on your heart,
Allow these words to silently,
Mentally become your own.
Today,
I will trust the flow of life.
Today,
I will continue to open to peace and joy.
Today,
I will be kind and fair to every living being.
Today,
I will speak every word with honesty and truth.
And today,
I will see delight and contentment in even the smallest gifts of life.
Take a moment to acknowledge yourself for showing up for you today.
Return to this practice often to cultivate a perspective in which everything you see,
Everything you feel,
Everything you experience in this life is regarded as nothing short of a miracle.
