Welcome to this guided sleep meditation.

My name is Leslie,

And I am grateful that you have chosen me to guide you into a peaceful night's sleep.

This recording contains a powerful hypnotic induction which will help you to clear your mind so you easily and effortlessly fall asleep and stay asleep throughout the night.

And just take a moment to make yourself as comfortable as you can,

Allowing your head to rest gently on the pillow,

Being aware of the supportive surface of the bed beneath you.

And just allow your eyes to gently close if you haven't already done so.

Breathing in deeply through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.

Taking a nice deep breath in.

Breathing in relaxation,

Peace and calm.

And as you exhale,

Just breathing out all the stress and tension from the day.

Breathing in deeply through your nose,

Breathing in that relaxation,

Peace and calm.

And as you exhale through your mouth,

Just breathing out all that no longer serves you.

And now just allow yourself to settle into a regular breathing pattern.

Allow yourself to relax.

I'd like you to take a moment to tap into your imagination.

Remember as a child how easily you were able to imagine and play.

You could spend hours playing happily,

Imagining all sorts of wonderful things.

And using that imagination now,

I'd like you to imagine that sitting beside your bed is a large,

Clear plastic box with a lid.

And this box has a very special purpose.

It is a safe place in which to place all your thoughts,

All those thoughts that run around inside your mind,

Can safely be placed inside this box where they will remain until the morning.

When you can choose to either take them back out,

Or you can choose to simply leave them in the box if they are no longer required.

And when you're ready,

Just imagine that you are plucking all those thoughts,

All those thoughts out of your mind and placing them safely in the box.

You can pluck those thoughts one at a time,

Or you can take them by the handful.

The choice is yours to make.

So go ahead now and pluck those thoughts from your head,

Placing them in the box.

And watch as they turn to mist inside that box,

Forming beautiful shapes within that clear plastic box.

It's mesmerizing watching the thoughts leave your mind and float like mist inside the box.

And as the thoughts leave your mind,

You find yourself becoming lighter and lighter.

Your body becomes more relaxed and begins sinking comfortably into the surface beneath you.

Watch as those thoughts leave your body,

Swirling and whirling in beautiful shapes within the box.

Feel the muscles in your body as they release and unwind,

Body and mind becoming deeper and deeper,

Relaxed.

And when all the thoughts are safely inside that box,

And you are so deeply,

Deeply relaxed,

Just imagine closing the lid tight,

Knowing that you are free to drift into deep,

Deep sleep.

Remaining sound asleep until it's time to wake up in the morning,

When you will feel refreshed,

Rejuvenated and energized after a deep and restful sleep.

And as you drift,

Relaxing deeper and deeper,

I'd like you to imagine a beautiful beam of moonlight coming down from the sky and entering your body through your belly button.

As this beautiful beam of moonlight enters your body,

You feel a comfortable sense of relaxation that begins spreading through your body,

Radiating in ever-increasing circles,

Spreading from your belly button up into your stomach,

Down into your abdomen,

Spreading in every direction,

Filling your body with this beautiful glow of peace,

Calm and relaxation.

And as this beautiful beam of moonlight envelops your entire body,

You relax deeper and deeper still,

And as you relax deeper and deeper,

I'd like you to imagine that just in front of you,

There's a staircase with ten steps leading down into a beautiful garden.

And as you begin to slowly and carefully walk down the steps,

You sink deeper and deeper into sleep.

Ten,

Nine,

Deeper and deeper relaxed.

Eight,

Seven,

Deeper and deeper still.

Six,

Five,

So peaceful,

So calm.

Seven,

So relaxed.

Four,

Three,

Drifting easily and effortlessly into a deep and restful sleep.

Two,

And one,

All the way down now,

Relaxed to your deepest level.

And as you float off the bottom step into this beautiful garden,

You see in front of you a hammock slung between two oak trees.

This hammock looks so inviting,

Swaying gently in a soft and comforting breeze.

You float towards the hammock and you curl up comfortably within its folds,

Feeling your body being gently rocked by the calming and comforting breeze,

Drifting.

Drifting deeper and deeper into a blissful sleep,

Sleeping through the night,

Deeply dreaming beautiful dreams.

Drifting,

Drifting,

Drifting into a peaceful and refreshing sleep.

I have done this four times in the past week at various levels of sleepiness for either bedtime or a nap. I have fallen asleep before the end every time! I don’t usually do a five star ratings but this is wonderful that it is short and can have this effect!
