Kia ora,

It's now time to make yourself comfortable.

Please make sure you have a pen and a journal next to you.

I'd like you to find a comfortable seated position in a quiet space where you can relax.

Close your eyes.

I invite you to begin by placing your left hand on your heart center in the middle of your chest and your right hand over your left hand.

Keeping your eyes closed,

I want you to bring your awareness to your breath.

Inhaling in through your nostrils and out through your mouth.

Feel your chest expand with each inhalation,

Your heart center expanding and with each exhalation feel your body releasing,

Letting go,

Surrendering.

Stay with the natural rhythm and flow of your breath.

Listen to and feel your breath as it enters and leaves your body.

This is your prana,

Your life force.

Each breath fills your body,

Nourishing every cell,

Creating space,

Space for healing,

Space for forgiveness,

Space for peace of mind,

Body and soul.

Stay with your breath and while keeping your eyes closed,

I want you to simply feel into your body as you listen to my words.

See what resonates with you and this will help you acknowledge and trace your fears.

There's no such thing as a neutral thought.

Every thought we have either comes from a place of love or a place of fear.

We can make it a conscious choice to come from a place of love with our thoughts and our actions.

This is a practice.

We choose what we focus on.

We can focus on praising one another.

We can focus on gratitude.

You can celebrate what is going right for you in your world.

Celebrate everything.

Focus on that.

I know for so many people that it is a challenge to put down the masks that we often hide behind to show our raw,

Authentic self.

It's hard because it puts us in a vulnerable position.

If we are wearing a mask,

We adapt to a person or situation to fit in,

To belong,

To be validated,

To please the others in the situation.

This avoids their rejection or a confrontation and ultimately our egos taking a blow.

But what are we really doing?

We're suppressing our feelings,

Needs and emotions.

And by doing so,

Aren't we rejecting ourselves?

How can we feel good about ourselves and honour ourselves if we aren't giving ourselves permission to remove the masks?

We look for validation and love outside ourselves.

But are we receiving true love when the person we want them to love is hidden away?

What if you were yourself without apology,

Without acting small or acting anything,

Without people pleasing?

What if you chose to act from a place of love for yourself that meant every decision you made came from that place?

Every time you choose love over fear,

You can only put down that mask when you truly love the person behind it.

How would that feel?

We are all wounded,

But you don't have to act from the wound.

We may be angry and we can express that we are angry,

But we don't have to act it out under the cover of authenticity.

Being gentle with yourself does not mean being undisciplined.

If you have a practice that works for you,

Do it every day and it will work for you every day.

Whatever you do in the morning sets you up for your day.

Don't listen to the news first thing in the morning.

Meditate for five minutes,

Do yoga,

Simply spend time mindfully breathing.

These mindful,

Connecting practices will ground you,

Calm your nervous system and set you up for whatever your day unfolds.

We need to release resentment.

There is no justifiable blame.

Take responsibility for your choices.

By not blaming others,

You take back the power.

If you blame others,

You might be waiting forever for them to apologize or do something about it.

But if you take back the blame,

You take back your power and choose to dissolve it.

You have this choice.

You have this power.

You get to choose how you react.

What do you want to be in you?

Love or fear?

Love or hate?

If you want love to be in you,

You need to think and act with love for it to become your reality.

You choose your reality.

When you feel fear,

Embrace it,

Understand it,

Then let it go.

The reason you've been through what you've been through is so you could get to where you are today.

You don't need any more evidence than that because you made it.

You're here.

Now let go of the fear.

It serves you no longer.

Give up your attachment to your pain.

It's like a snake bite.

The bike hurts,

But it's the poison that kills you.

Don't let the pain you are holding onto become the poison.

Bring your fears into your awareness.

Acknowledge them.

Acknowledge the lessons that have come with the fear.

I see you now.

I release you now.

I choose a different path.

I choose to see with love.

I choose to release my fear.

I choose to forgive myself.

I choose to have faith in myself and my decisions.

I choose to celebrate myself now exactly as I am.

I honor myself.

I heal myself and I love myself.

And so it is.

Take a nice deep inhalation through your nostrils into your heart center.

As you exhale,

Let out a nice big heartfelt sigh.

Do this one more time.

Slowly opening your eyes and gently letting the light filter back in.

I want you to stay in this quiet space.

Pick up your pen and your journal and start writing.

What came up for you during this session?

What emotions did you feel or sensations in your body?

What triggered you?

How do you feel right now?

I want you to start writing and keep writing until you stop,

Until you are done.

Please get into this because writing is a really powerful tool.
