Transcript

This is a short meditation on the earth element which has the characteristics of strength,

Persistence,

Solidity,

And groundedness.

You may want to hold a small stone in your hands during this meditation.

Getting comfortable now and closing your eyes.

Connect to your body and to your breath.

Extending your in-breath.

Lengthening your out-breath.

Noticing your chest and belly expand as you inhale.

Noticing your chest and belly recede as you exhale.

Feeling the weight of your body.

Feeling the weight of your bones and muscles.

Notice how solid your body seems.

Like dense,

Firm,

Spring earth flying in the sun.

Reflect now on the minerals that make up that earth.

Knowing that the rich dirt is a conglomerate of living microbes and organisms.

In much the same way,

Your body is a conglomerate of living cells and microorganisms.

All of them synergistically working to support you.

You are made from the same minerals as the earth.

You take in those nutrients from the plants that grow and thrive in it.

The atoms of the earth live and grow in your bones and body.

You are made from the same stuff as stars.

Rest deeply now in that knowing.

The deep sense that you are a part of the living earth.

You are the clay that has grown tall.
