Today's meditation teaches us how mindfulness can turn our attention to the present moment.
And it is in this present moment where we can experience true uncertainty.
The reality that's free from thoughts,
Judgment,
Control and even analysis.
Today's meditation will offer you the opportunity to stay so present,
Awake and clear so that you can witness and notice anything that's coming up within yourself.
Whether that's fear,
Insecurity,
Frustration,
Anxiety.
You'll be able to observe what's coming up and to hold it and understand it with compassion.
So find yourself somewhere really comfortable where you can lie down.
Wherever you find that maybe a bed or a mat on the ground,
Make sure you're really comfortable and warm.
Once you find your spot,
You can have a pillow underneath your head.
You can have a bolster or pillow underneath your knees to ease your lower back.
Have your legs wider than hip distance apart.
Have your arms alongside your body with your palms face up so that you're in a receptive position.
Once you feel comfortable,
Begin to notice the contact between your body and the ground beneath you.
Start to feel your body get heavier and heavier into the ground beneath you.
You can either close your eyes or if it feels more comfortable,
Have them gently open looking at a focal point in front of you.
And now begin to bring your awareness to your breath cycle,
This very natural,
Normal life cycle of yours.
Start to take a really deep inhale through your nose,
Right down to your belly.
And then on your exhale,
Exhale out through your mouth with a sigh,
Emptying all your breath out.
Once again,
Inhaling through your nose,
Right down to your belly and then exhale to let everything out through your mouth with a sigh,
Letting everything go.
Any tension,
Your day so far,
Anything that doesn't serve you,
You're just going to let that out with your exhale.
Once again,
Inhaling through your nose,
All the way down to your belly,
Exhaling to let everything out and just going at your own pace for another few breaths.
And then once you're ready,
Just coming back to your very natural,
Normal breathing rhythm.
Taking a moment to notice any shifts you may be feeling within your body right now.
And without too much thought,
I want you to just take an inventory of all the feelings you may be feeling now and all the feelings you may have felt in the past week.
If you find yourself going into particular storylines,
Just bringing yourself back gently to your breath.
And you're just taking note of anything that may have come up,
Even if it's worst case scenario fears,
Anything that you have experienced in your emotional body,
You're just going to take note of that.
And we're just going to hold it in this space.
Becoming intimate with our fear is one of the best ways we can begin to transmute it.
Seeing it and holding it.
And now I want you to take a moment to just understand how you dissociate from fear if you do.
If there are any things you do in order to not see the fear,
Whether that's watching television,
Going on social media,
How are the ways that you run from any fear you may have experienced?
And just to hold that as well.
And now I want you to take a moment to just understand how you deal with fear.
And now I want you to see if any of these fears offers any opportunity.
Opportunity for humanity to innovate,
Opportunity for you to innovate,
Opportunity for this planet,
Opportunity to awaken to health and wellness.
Holding this intimacy with your fear offers opportunity to ask and feel into the depths of life and ourselves.
And now I want you to take a moment to just understand how you deal with fear.
And then just bringing that to a close.
And just understanding that all we have is the present moment and any thought we have of the future is a total illusion.
So just reawakening ourselves to the preciousness of life with gratitude.
So we're going to close the meditation with a few affirmations.
I'm going to say them out loud and you can repeat them either out loud or inside your head.
These are affirmations for uncertainty to encourage curiosity and trust and a more joyous experience.
So I am in the process of exploring who I might be.
I am in the process of exploring who I might be.
I give up freely what is no longer serving me.
I release it to create space for what inspires me.
I have the freedom and power to create the life I desire.
I believe in my ability to figure things out.
I am ready to encounter opportunities I never thought were possible.
I am curious enough to appreciate the vastness of life.
I find revelation in my stillness.
I am in the process of exploring who I might be.
And then once you're ready,
Just bringing your left hand onto your heart and your right hand on top of your left hand.
Just feeling the connection with your hands on your heart.
Bringing this meditation practice to a close by taking one really deep inhale through your nose right down to your belly and then exhale to empty all your breath out.
Giving yourself deep gratitude and appreciation for giving yourself the time and space to be in stillness and to meditate and to really feel.
Thank you for listening.
