Welcome to this guided meditation practice dedicated to experiencing and expressing deep gratitude for our life,
For everyone and all the circumstances that support us today and that have supported us throughout our life journey.
Take a few moments to find your comfortable seat where for the next few minutes you'll be able to support and tend to your body and connecting with your breath,
Begin to notice the natural flow of breath in and out of your body with ease and calm as much as possible.
As you relax into your body and into this moment,
Let's begin by expressing gratitude for the body,
This body that has been our vehicle and companion throughout our entire life.
Let's take a moment to appreciate this intelligence organization of so many different systems,
So well interconnected one with the other that allow us to experience so much every single day,
Even if for some of us at times this experience in the body comes with some discomfort,
Some pain,
Illness,
Still.
Let's take in consideration the entire journey that we've been able to experience because of this body,
Therefore deep gratitude for being alive in this moment,
Also thanks to the body.
Deep gratitude for being alive right here,
Right now.
Let yourself breathe in and breathe out and experience the most direct link to life itself,
The breath that moves so spontaneously and naturally in and out of the body.
Let that be perhaps the symbolic felt sense of the aliveness in you right now.
Also deep gratitude for each breath and for the capacity to breathe and be alive.
Let's then take a moment to appreciate and express gratitude for the health of the body and for the health of the mind.
Our mental and physical health make a very significant contribution to every single day in our life.
Even if mental and physical health are impacted by some challenges and some difficulties,
Let us still appreciate how much we are still able to do,
Even if with difficulties and challenges.
Deep appreciation for what mind and body provide us every single day and what body and mind have provided us throughout our entire life journey.
Let's take a moment now to appreciate all that has sustained us and supported us throughout our life journey that is not our own body or our own mind.
Right now our gratitude extends to the people who have been and who are in our life.
Beginning with our parents,
Expressing to them deep gratitude for everything they have done from the moment we were born until now,
Whether they're still in our lives or not.
Their contribution,
Their presence has been literally vital to our being able to be here right now.
Even if relationships with parents sometimes can be difficult,
Hard,
Traumatic,
Challenging,
And then take a moment to appreciate the overall experience of having had parents or parental figures that have supported you from the very first moments of coming into this world,
Into this lifetime,
Until now.
How much have they done,
Have they taught us,
Have they given us in order for us to be here again,
Even if at times with challenges and difficulties.
And then let's expand our sense of gratitude and appreciation to other family members,
However the family has formed or changed throughout your life journey.
Take a moment to express gratitude for all those who have been and who are still part of your family,
However you see an experienced family in your life.
Take a moment to notice,
In addition to parents or parental figures,
All the other family members that have come into your life,
That are present to your life right now,
How they've made a contribution to your life,
Supporting you till this day,
This moment.
And perhaps supporting you right now as you practice.
And then take a few moments to once again expand the circle of appreciation to other people who have become part of your life recently,
Maybe not members of your biological family or however the family has been experienced,
But people who are very close to you,
Spouses,
Significant others,
Partners,
Experiencing and sending to them a deep appreciation for what they do to support you and your life every single day.
And then take a few moments to expand again the circle of gratitude to include your distant family,
Maybe not your immediate family but other family members who at some point or another or even right now are contributing to your life in a positive way.
And let's expand this circle of gratitude now to include our closest friends,
Those friends that sometimes are like family or that sometimes have replaced family and thank them for everything they have done to support you,
Different parts and times in your life and right now,
Some of whom may have been with you for almost your entire life,
They're with you,
Close trusted friends,
Say thanks to them.
Friends are usually connected also to communities so take a moment to express gratitude to communities who you may be part of,
Groups,
Churches,
Synagogues,
Mosques,
Temples,
Asherons,
Any other group,
Organization that you're part of,
Expand your awareness and notice how many groups have you been part of and communities that have supported you and how many are still part of your life now.
And in many cases within communities and friends we find teachers,
Mentors,
Guides,
So take a moment to express gratitude for those people in your life who have guided you,
Mentored you,
Taught you,
Inspired you,
Motivated you,
All those people that in one way or another have been very meaningful in helping you become who you are right now and express to them deep gratitude for their service,
For their contribution to your life.
Our lives are multifaceted and that almost undoubtedly they will include other people who make a contribution or have made a contribution that are not necessarily family,
Friends,
Part of a community or teachers or mentors who every day in one way or another do something to support us.
People who we may see in our daily activities such as co-workers,
People we engage in our daily life,
Wherever we go,
Whatever activities we engage in and also people who provide services and benefits that may not necessarily be fully visible and extend to them gratitude.
Thank you for your contribution.
Anybody who makes a contribution to your well-being,
Anybody who makes a contribution to the services you use,
Anybody that provides help when it's needed.
And finally,
Extending gratitude for anybody else who might have not been mentioned during this practice,
Who you know has made at some point contribution to your life,
Has supported you in one way or another and this may include animals,
Pets,
Other living beings who every day in one way or another are also very supportive to us.
In a sense,
All form of lives that we come in contact with are supporting us.
We just need to look a little bit deeper to really understand how deeply interconnected we are,
One another,
Especially with the people close to us,
But with so many other people who we may not see with our own eyes who come in contact every single day who are still part of this amazing infinite web of interconnections that has supported us throughout our entire journey and continues to support us today,
Even right now.
So let's extend deep gratitude to all forms of life that in one way or another support us and have supported us throughout our life journey.
And lastly,
Deep gratitude for being alive in this moment,
No matter how this moment is experienced,
No matter the conditions.
We are here right now.
Let us be grateful for that.
Let us be grateful for everything we have experienced throughout our life journey,
All the people,
Situation,
Circumstances that have supported us until this moment.
Deep gratitude to you for this practice.
Thank you.
