Hello,

And welcome to this guided meditation dedicated to the cultivation of inner peace.

Inner peace is the essential quality that allows us to live in harmony within ourselves,

In relationship with others and with the world around us.

Taking some time to the cultivation of inner peace is therefore very beneficial as we all search and strive for a greater sense of harmony in all aspects of our lives.

Take a few moments to find your comfortable seat if you haven't already,

And allow a few moments to prepare your body,

Your mind and your heart to receive the benefits of this practice.

As you settle in your seat,

Make sure that you are comfortably sitting in a stable position that allows you to maintain a posture and an orientation of awareness and presence,

Of kindness and self-respect.

Take a few moments to notice your breath,

And perhaps as you begin putting a little bit more emphasis on the breath,

Especially on your exhalation,

Notice the natural flow of breath in and out of your nose,

In and out of your body.

And as you become more aware of the breath and the body,

Take some time to relax,

To release any tension you may be still carrying around your body,

Any tension that you may perceive in your breath.

As you allow the breath to move in and out of your body without the need of changing it in any way,

Continue to make space in your body by releasing any tension,

Any tightness,

Any stiffness,

Any stress,

And continue to breathe fully aware of the quality of your breath,

Of the experience of breathing in and breathing out without anything else to be concerned with right now.

And as you may notice,

The mind will often wander,

Wander off onto something else that finds interesting.

And when that happens,

All we have to do is to simply notice this wandering of the mind.

And with our awareness,

With a sense of care,

With patience and kindness,

We bring attention back,

Back to this moment,

To this breath,

To this body that we are experiencing right now in this moment.

Continue to return to this moment and we rest here and now,

Allowing our experiences to come and go.

Notice the sensations that accompany the breath,

The sensations we are experiencing in the body right now,

And allow them to come and go,

Noticed by your kind awareness,

Perceived by your open mind,

Welcomed by your open heart.

Even the peace is cultivated by allowing ourselves to be welcomed as we are.

So you may notice that the mind continues to be interested and perhaps distracted by this or that.

With patience,

With kindness,

As we become aware of these movements of the mind,

We bring our attention back and we allow everything that the mind is experiencing to move through the mind openly,

Unobstructed.

So let your thoughts come and go,

Just like you're letting your breath come and go,

And your physical sensations come and go.

Receive the coming and going of thoughts with your open heart,

With a clear mind,

With a relaxed body.

Allow yourselves to continue to rest in this moment,

Open to what it has been experienced with complete acceptance,

For inner peace is the lack of any conflict.

So see if it's possible to remain present,

Openly so,

As much as you possibly can,

And create a no conflict in your body,

Allowing sensations to come and go without any judgment of them.

Allow your thoughts to come and go with any judgment of them.

Allow your emotions to be here,

Fully recognized by your kind open heart,

Without any judgment of them.

Allow yourself to remain as open as you possibly can,

Resting right here,

Right now,

Open to all the experiences that you are perceiving,

Feeling,

Sensing,

Without the need to be engaged with any of them.

Fully open,

Resting in a peaceful state of open awareness,

Undisturbed,

But what comes stays and goes away,

Such as our physical sensations,

Our thoughts,

Our emotions.

We notice all of them.

We allow all of them.

We receive all of them openly.

We let them stay in existence in our body,

In our mind,

In our heart,

For however long is naturally necessary,

And there we see them move on,

Change,

Disappear,

Evaporate.

This awareness of the coming and going of experiences,

Just like noticing the coming and going of the breath,

Is what promotes the inner peace that we're cultivating right now.

Inner peace begins by being at peace with whatever is happening in this moment,

And being at peace means simply being open,

Receiving,

Without any resistance,

Without holding on or pushing away,

Simply allowing.

Allow breath and sensations to continue to move through the body.

Allow thoughts and ideas to move through your mind whenever they arise,

And allow emotions to take their course,

Nothing to be afraid of.

Take each moment of experience as it is,

As it comes.

Continue to stay right here.

In this moment,

Where we are the most alive,

Right here,

Right now,

Openly aware of the coming and going of experiences,

While resting peacefully in the awareness of all of it.

Let's go.

Each moment spent in open awareness,

Receiving with an open heart,

A clear mind and relaxed body,

Experiences that are occurring.

Every moment spent in this way continues to cultivate inner peace.

May you live in peace.

May you live with more inner peace.

And if you found this practice helpful and supportive,

Please feel free to share it with anyone in need.

Thank you and thank you for your practice.
