Join me for a 10-minute loving kindness meditation. This is an opportunity to send loving kindness to someone from the LGBT+ community that you hold dearly, an individual in your life that you have some conflict with, and then with yourself. Sending each as much health, happiness, peace, and love that you can in this present moment. This is a part of my LGBT+ meditation series.

Welcome to today's loving-kindness meditation.

Please find yourself in a comfortable position,

Whether that's seated or lying down.

It's completely up to you.

And once you find this comfortable position,

Just allowing yourself to tune into the natural pace of your breath.

Noticing how your body reacts as you inhale.

And noticing as your body reacts on your exhale.

And if there are any areas of discomfort in this present moment,

Just seeing if you can do anything to allow yourself to feel a bit more comfortable.

And then offering yourself some gratitude if you were able to find a slightly more comfortable position.

Now for today,

You'll be participating in a loving-kindness meditation.

Just an opportunity to spread love to yourself and to others.

And see if you can connect with this concept of an LGBT community.

And when you think of your LGBT community,

Who's one person that you connect strongly with?

Allow yourself within your mind's eye to visualize this person standing before you.

Notice them physically.

Visualize your emotional connection with them.

Allow them to become fully present within your mind's eye.

And as you connect with this individual before you,

I want you to start by sending them wishes for good health.

Let them know that you hope that they're happy.

Offer them peace of mind.

And finally,

Let them know that they are loved.

As you send them health,

Happiness,

Peace,

And love,

Just notice how that connection feels between you and this other person.

And over your next couple of breaths,

Feel that intensity of this connection,

And then allow it to be released.

Next,

I want you to visualize someone that you've had some conflict with in terms of your LGBT journey.

Maybe at some point they weren't accepting,

But now they are.

Or maybe they're still not accepting of you.

Call forth this person.

Allow yourself to visualize them before you.

Take in their physicality,

And also connect with them on an emotional level.

And as best as you can,

Begin by offering them good health.

Wish for them to be happy.

Offer them peace of mind.

And finally,

Let them know that they are loved.

Just notice how it is for you to send this individual that you've had some conflict with health,

Happiness,

Peace,

And love.

Over your next few breaths,

Just allowing whatever connection is coming up in this moment,

And then begin to release this connection with this individual.

And finally,

For yourself,

Connecting with yourself as you reflect on your own LGBT journey.

What does that reflection feel like for you physically,

And what is your emotional reaction to this?

And begin by offering yourself wishes to be healthy.

Tell yourself that you want yourself to be happy.

Offer yourself peace of mind.

And finally,

Let yourself know that you are loved.

You are willing to send yourself offerings of health,

Happiness,

Peace,

And love.

Over your next few breaths,

Just allowing any sort of feelings to intensify.

And then just allowing yourself to release these feelings.

And again,

Connecting with that individual who you've had a positive experience with within the LGBT community.

Holding that connection as you send them health,

Happiness,

Peace,

And love.

And as you hold on to this individual who's had a positive effect on you,

Allow the individual that you've had some conflict with to join with this other individual.

And again,

Send them both health,

Happiness,

Peace,

And love.

And finally,

Allow yourself to join into this group.

Holding hands with the two other individuals as you send all three of you offerings of health,

Happiness,

Peace,

And love.

And over your next few breaths,

Allow any sort of feelings to intensify.

And just slowly release these feelings as you connect back into this present moment.

And thank you for participating in this loving kindness meditation.
