I notice in the years that I've spent working with people how often we run from uncomfortable feelings,
But the thing is what I see in clients that they're actually running from the best part of themselves just because this part seems to be wearing an ugly coat of uncomfortable feelings and perceptions.
But if they can just embrace their discomfiture and feel this material,
What happens is their true energy returns to them.
It stops being walled off.
You know when our true energy is walled off we feel hollow and empty no matter really what we're doing and when you know we learn to embrace ourselves and our true energy returns to us we can do nothing all day and feel fulfilled because we're in our true energy.
So it's just a plug here for encouragement to you know if you feel really uncomfortable to maybe just turn and feel it.
Don't distract yourselves.
Just feel it.
Even if it's uncomfortable for a few hours and you walk around kind of restless,
But just feel it all.
Even tears or you know anger might bubble up.
Whatever it is just embrace it as a long-lost part of yourself that's gotten lost and is returning home like a child who's knocking on the door saying hey I belong to you and maybe the child's a little disheveled maybe covered with grime but you know you bring the child in and you'd make room for it and wash it and feed it and take care of it if it was your own.
It's the same with these split off parts of ourselves.
You know in our early years we may have turned against part of ourselves because it was not allowed in our family climate,
Family's emotional climate.
But when we get older we can embrace these parts and become whole.
You know to become fulfilled.
It's a gradual process.
It's like a gradual awakening and really the key is just learning to not to be so quick to run from discomfiture.
To just be with it and get curious about it.
Get curious about these uncomfortable thoughts and feelings and patience.
You know you will if you do this parts of yourself will return and you will start functioning with a higher intelligence because you're functioning with more of yourself.
Yeah and it's it's lovely.
It's sort of like raising IQ points you know.
