Want to talk a little bit about morality and religion and true essence.
So,
You know,
Christ said,
Except as ye become as little children,
Ye cannot enter the kingdom of heaven.
Little kids,
They're just themselves.
They're spontaneous.
They tell the truth.
They go up and hug strangers.
They take,
They want to,
They cry about if an animal's been hurt.
If a child falls down,
They run over and try to help the child up.
They're so responsive.
They're so heart-based.
So there's that,
Right?
And then on the other part of religion,
You know,
We've got like this,
The church and,
You know,
The morality,
The the rules.
So,
You know,
I think of churches a little bit like,
You know,
A child's born and it has its wonderful true nature.
And then,
You know,
The ego comes on and the ego is necessary for the child to go into life.
But the child's ego can lead it a bit astray.
Say in adulthood,
An ego could actually take one far away from the true nature of who the child really was,
Who you were born to be,
You know,
Your true essence.
You could act,
An ego can make you act in very different ways from the truth of you.
So I think the same thing happens to churches,
Really.
You know,
We have these incredible figures,
These miraculous people who are just beyond just a human being.
Christ and,
You know,
Buddha or Krishna.
I mean,
They're just,
They're just so pure and miraculous.
And then we build a structure around them and then there'll be rules of behaviors.
And,
You know,
It's necessary in the way,
Just like with the child's,
The ego's necessary.
And the value training is wonderful.
But when the rules get so strong that it squeezes out the truth,
Or it promotes heavy,
You know,
Focus on,
You know,
Sins and sinfulness,
Rather than focusing on the light that these glorious figures were bringing in,
Like,
You know,
We start focusing on the negative and we forget the true message of,
Say,
Christianity.
So that's where,
You know,
It's the organizations can be,
They can get rigid and a bit,
You know,
Always reminds me,
Like,
When somebody's really old,
Maybe they get,
Their bodies get rigid,
Maybe their thinking gets rigid.
It's leading towards death.
Whereas,
You know,
When a child is just born,
They're infinitely flexible and they're so connected to truth that they,
You know,
They can scream their heart out for,
Like,
24 hours,
Like any parent of a colicky child knows,
Without getting tired at all.
It's because they're so connected to truth.
So,
I feel like we lose our way when we,
Our organizations get so kind of overladen with rules and,
You know,
Too much miserable sinner stuff,
That the true nature of the person is inhibited.
So,
They feel guilty about actually expressing their true self,
Their God self.
When I do bodywork,
People,
I notice sometimes around the top of the head,
Which is in the East,
They consider that the crown chakra,
Which is where your connection to God comes in,
Energetically,
It's believed.
And I'll notice that sometimes if somebody's carrying a lot of,
Say,
Guilt or shame or feeling like a miserable sinner,
There'll be kind of thick,
Heavy,
Kind of dark energy that's actually cutting them off from God.
It's making them feel separate from God.
And,
You know,
If they could forgive themselves or maybe see that the rules are too stringent,
Whatever,
Then it could clear.
And then they could have this heavy shame or guilt lifted off them.
But,
You know,
It seems to me the most valuable thing is if somebody's following their true nature and expressing it.
And,
Of course,
You know,
The rub is,
You know,
If you've got like millions of people,
You have to have people kind of following rules or else there'll be chaos.
So this is the rub.
It's the rub with spiritual organizations or any kind of social organization.
I just really want to fan the flame of trusting yourself and following your heart,
Remembering that,
You know,
Christ said,
Except as you become as little children,
You cannot enter the kingdom of heaven.
And,
You know,
Do as little harm along the way as possible,
But also don't harm yourself by believing that you're not really valuable just in yourself,
In the nature that you were born with,
That your child self lived.
Okay,
I hope this is clear.
Okay,
Bless your hearts.
