If A Spiritual Teacher Is Very Imperfect

This is a video for anyone who's been disappointed in their association with a spiritual teacher. To really be safe on the spiritual journey, Really one needs to have access to a truly self-realized person. And that's somebody who's basically through spiritual fires and facing their fear and hatred, Their ego has dissolved. And where their ego used to be is soul. So what comes through such a person is incredible knowledge, But also a very powerful energy, Love, That enhances everyone around them and makes it much easier to learn on the journey. The thing is there are not that many people like this around and especially in the West where we haven't had spiritual traditions for thousands of years like in the East. So this is a challenge. So you know if you have been disappointed with the teacher just remember that it's just ignorance on the part of your teacher. But also there's another level and I kind of hate to say this, But this was my experience in my own life, Is we get the teacher that matches us. So you know the quality of the teacher will be what we're running inside ourselves. So if we're really loaded up with ego, You know our first encounters might be with teachers that maybe are not fully pure of heart. Do you see? Almost why it doesn't work to blame anybody or oneself because you see it's the experience of banging up against kind of an impure teacher that throws us back on ourselves and throws us back on our connection to God. We start praying with real humility and we go into a deep sorrow which is actually the sorrow of separation from God that we're carrying in our egos from our you know that resulted from our early conditioning and lives before that. So you know if you have a poor quality teacher you have a bad experience. It's just you know just as you were able, You know dust yourself off and stand up and try again. Because I had several such falls and I just I mean because I didn't know what else to do I just got up and kept going and I found better and better quality teachers as I went along and finally you know the culmination of that was me finding Amma the Indian hugging saint who is a avatar. She has gone around the world hugging people for 35 years to give them a direct experience of what unconditional love feels like and when she hugs you your body physiology alters because you start dropping your resistances. I mean it will sound impossible maybe to you know the normal kind of consciousness that we're creating this culture, But this is my experience that the power of her love and the power of a you know a self-realized teachers love can save us a lot of time on the journey and we just need an army of them but then you know you have to decide who's really self-realized and who isn't because sometimes people are saying they're self-realized when they're not but you know this is the earth plane and this is our challenge and bless your hearts there's a lot of love coming for you.
