Every person decides whether they're going to say yes or no to life.

And if you're saying no,

Then the universe will have to bang you over the head a little bit more to get your attention.

Just like,

You know,

A child with a parent and it's time maybe to,

You know,

Get dressed and go to school and the child goes,

No.

And the parent goes,

But you have to.

And so then the parent has to get tough because the child has to go to go to school.

And,

You know,

Here on earth we're really here to grow,

To allow our awareness to rise.

Really the point of life,

You know,

Sages in the East will say,

Is to achieve self-realization,

Which is basically when you're living your true essential nature out in human form.

You know,

Most of the rest of us are walking around in our conditioning,

But the person who's gone to the trouble to allow their ego to die,

Then lives in truth as a human being.

And as I've said in other videos,

This person's called self-actualized,

And also the Hawaiians would say a companion of God.

Okay,

So if you're saying no to the universe,

The universe has to be a little fierce with you.

And you will have to encounter sorrow.

You know,

The sorrow of your life not going the way you want,

The sorrow of trauma.

And these things will happen if you're,

If you,

Even if you don't know how to say yes to the universe,

Which is really that you don't know how to say yes to what is going on in your own heart.

You don't know how to say yes to what your own heart is saying to you,

And the hints and the proddings it's giving to you.

So if in the course of your day you feel an impulse,

And you push it down,

That is saying no.

I once had,

I went to see a Tibetan Rinpoche,

And I had the impulse to bring him yellow flowers.

And at first I pushed that down and continued on my way,

And then I thought to myself,

You know,

Pramasutra,

Like,

You know,

Your whole life is devoted to,

You know,

Following your heart,

Saying yes to the universe.

You need to stop and get these yellow flowers.

So I did.

I stopped,

And there were some beautiful yellow flowers.

It didn't cost that much,

And I took them to the Rinpoche,

And he said to me,

I was concentrating on yellow as a color of longevity today.

So basically my bringing the yellow flowers reaffirmed his desire for longevity,

And also he ended up spending special time with me.

He,

You know,

His heart offered more to me because I touched his heart by bringing the flowers.

So it's like that.

So when we're saying,

When we learn how to say yes to the universe and follow our inner guidance more,

The universe goes softer with us.

So the lessons are gentler because we,

We get the point earlier.

We're not so deaf.

And one of the really quickest ways to evolve is to cry for God,

To yearn to feel God and express God,

Or your true nature,

Or universal love,

However you want to say it,

Or the Tao.

The words aren't that important.

It's basically expressing the deepest,

Deepest energy of your heart in your life.

And when you yearn to do that,

Tears will fall.

And as you do,

As you cry like that for God,

What happens is universal love comes into your body.

God comes into your body.

Your vibration will rise.

It is almost like getting body work,

But you don't need any other person there.

It's you and God,

And you're letting God into your body through these tears.

And you know,

You know,

I said no to the universe for a long time because I didn't really know how to say yes.

And I gradually learned how to say yes to the universe and God,

And my deepest truth in my heart was by,

You know,

Finding really wise teachers to spend time with,

And self-compassion,

Practice of self-compassion,

Imagining angels hugging me,

And learning to,

You know,

Do things like observe my thoughts,

You know,

Pray,

And I would be brought to prayer out of desperation.

And the great thing about desperation is when you pray with real desperation,

It puts wings on your prayer,

And it will have a lot of effect.

It's not wasted.

The most,

The weakest prayer is just,

You know,

Sort of in a monotone,

Like as if people are just reciting a prayer out of monotone.

The most powerful is the one with the most emotion behind it.

Remember you're,

No matter where you are in the journey,

And no matter how you're feeling about yourself right now,

You are really,

Really precious,

And you are infinitely loved.

Yes.

And may you feel your value more and more.

Blessings.

Thank you for sharing this, and especially for the part about the tears and the bodywork. It really made a lot of sense to me yet. I would not have been able to articulate that… thank you for reframing tears ;) and +++

I've been asking the universe to rid some old restraints to make room for the "new" to enter my life. This was a huge support to press forward. Thank you! πŸŽ‰πŸ™πŸ’πŸŒΊπŸ’•

I’m so grateful to hear this today because I really want to get back to my path and have been afraid I would fail to honor myself yet again. The promise of a more gentle way is what I crave most after so many years of suffering with short moments of joy and peace. Thank you.
