Welcome to the guided meditation,
Blooming Flower.
Begin by finding a comfortable position,
Allow your body to settle,
Either seated or lying down.
Let your hands rest easily,
Your shoulders softened,
Your jaw unclenched.
Gently close your eyes,
Take a slow breath in through your nose and a long easy breath out through your mouth.
Again,
Breathing in and breathing out.
Now allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm,
There's nothing you need to change,
Simply notice the breath as it comes,
As it goes.
Begin to count your breaths softly in your mind.
Inhale one,
Exhale one.
Inhale two,
Exhale two.
Continue counting gently up to five and then begin again at one.
If the mind wanders,
That's okay,
Simply notice it and kindly return to the breath,
Return to the count.
Each breath brings you deep into calm.
Now imagine a beautiful flower resting at the center of your heart or chest.
This flower represents your inner self.
At first the flower is closed,
Its petals gently folded,
Safe and protected.
With your next inhale,
Imagine the first petal beginning to open.
As you exhale,
Feel one part of you,
Perhaps your body,
Becoming calm and relaxed.
Breathing in,
A second petal slowly opens.
Breathing out,
Allow another part of your muscle,
Your shoulders,
To soften and release.
Inhale,
A third petal opens with ease.
Exhale.
Feel your mind becoming quieter,
Less effortful.
Each breath opens another petal.
Each exhale releases tension from a different part of you.
One petal for your thought,
One petal for your emotions,
One petal for your heart,
One petal for your spirit.
There is no rush.
The flower opens at exactly the right pace.
As more petals bloom,
Notice a feeling of spaciousness inside,
A gentle warmth,
A peaceful stillness spreading through you.
You breathe in light,
Your body feels supported,
Your mind feels clear and open.
With every inhale,
The flower grows brighter.
With every exhale,
You feel lighter.
Now imagine the final petal's opening.
The flower is fully in bloom,
Open,
Radiant,
Alive.
Its color is vivid,
Glowing softly.
Your mind,
Like this flower,
Is fully open,
Blooming,
Light.
There is ease,
There is clarity,
There is peace.
Rest in this feeling for a few quiet breaths.
When you are ready,
Gently bring your awareness back to your body.
Notice the surface beneath you,
Notice the air on your skin.
Take one last deep breath and slowly breathe out.
When it feels right,
Slowly open your eyes.
Carry this sense of openness and light with you,
Like a flower still blooming,
As you move back into your day.
Thank you.
