Following your intuition in business is a challenge that requires a different approach. In this short talk, I walk you through a short practice to sharpen your intuitive understanding of a challenge you are facing in your business. You can use this simple process again and again to hone, sharpen and develop your intuitive skills as an entrepreneur.

Business is one of those aspects of life where it can be incredibly hard to engage your intuition openly. There is a lot of judgment, But there's also a lot of proof about what works and what doesn't for the population at large. So there is a lot of pressure to go with what works to achieve the type of success that is so widely recognised. But for intuitive people, Burying those intuitive decisions, Holding them without actually articulating them or labelling them as something different, Is really, Really uncomfortable. It is a denial of self. It is also a denial of business potential. Because the real leaps and bounds in business aren't logic driven, They are intuitively driven. Intuition is a type of wisdom that sees beyond what we know and is able to find connections and paths that are otherwise obscured, Which will lead us into our future. The most creative solutions to business growth will always begin intuitively. It's that flash of insight, The moment of, What if, The bone deep knowing that what you need to do is not what your head is telling you to do. What if you could elevate your intuition to be alongside your other skills and tools? Business creation and development requires a mosaic of skills, And your intuition is one of these. However, To run your business in integrity with your being, It needs to become your starting point, Not something that is bolted on once you have decided the direction of travel. You cannot retrofit intuition. Creative development that begins with intuitive understanding engages all of you in the process. It shifts your drivers from what others expect of you and your business into what means something for you. Your definition of success and enjoyment is uniquely yours. The other benchmarks and aspirations have been planted there by society. Let's cultivate a little intuitive wisdom to solve a challenge that you've been facing. So to begin, Just identify a challenge that you want to address in your business. Just create some space around it by visualizing the problem and putting all the things that you have tried so far to one side for the moment. We'll start with some body awareness. Take a deep breath, Or three, And settle your body and mind. Into the moment, Feel the breath moving through your body, Bringing stillness and openness. Bring the problem into your awareness. Where do you feel it in your body? Where you feel it is a guide to why you're feeling it, And the sensations are also telling you about how you are relating to this challenge. So where is your body expanding, And where is it contracting? This is your body telling you about the challenge. It may help to scan your whole body, So you may get an instant reaction in one place that masks some more subtle feelings elsewhere. For example, You may have a knot in your stomach that is drawing your attention from a restriction in your throat. Your body is wise, And so are you. Take a mental note of your insights here, Because they're going to show you the inner work you need to focus on to move beyond the challenge. Solving this challenge is not beyond you. Your circumstances may create some issues, But your creativity can find a way. To access your creative wisdom, You need to move around the pressures of logic and rationale that are so well established in your responses. What are the possible solutions, However improbable they may seem? Remember that what you have tried so far has been put to one side. It is not a factor in your assessment now. So come back to the challenge. See it in front of you. See yourself walking around it and looking at it from all sides. And as you're looking at it, Feel what your body is telling you. What thoughts are coming to you, Subtle and fleeting or demanding your attention? Those thoughts are valid. You are simply gathering insight and inspiration at this point. Whatever you see, Feel or think is valid. Your intuition speaks to you in very specific ways that are unique to you. Finding your way is the key to unlocking your intuitive wisdom. You may hear an insight that pops into your head. You may feel a sense of knowing without knowing where it has come from. You may sense the emotion of a solution. You may see a picture. You may even smell it. Your senses, As experienced by your body, Are expressions of intuition. Your emotions, Thoughts and reactions are your natural intuitive responses. And now your potential pathways are opening up before you. Without judgment, Begin to explore them. This is an opportunity to expand your repertoire of responses. It's easy to rely on a small number of responses that have served you well in the past. But a creative solution needs a different response. What do you need to develop to respond to a potential solution? How do you need to develop and evolve to put that solution in motion? And who do you need to become to sustain a change in direction? New avenues of exploration, New responses, New perspectives, Give you versatility and resiliency in your business. You aren't confined to what you already know. You have the opportunity to move into the space you don't yet know and create with completely new rules. Shift from what might go wrong into how can I help this go right? You aren't in a space of mitigating risk but evaluating possibility. And that needs a shift in perspective and a reframing of a problem into an opportunity for creative solutions. So what can you take action on? What small step can you take right now that is moving you in the right direction? You don't need to justify responding to your intuition, Only to consider how you can move with it. Any intuitively guided action will feel different in your body and energy. Generally, There will be less friction. It will feel easier even though it may be the harder path. The more you follow your intuition, The easier it will become to listen, Trust and respond to it. In business, Pay attention to what changes in your circumstances because you follow intuitive insights, Especially around what begins to open up for you. It might not be what you thought you were looking for, But it may be providing an alternative route to it. You might be guided to utilize new skill sets or connect with new people, And you may have no idea why, But you just feel it. The challenge is to trust where it is taking you enough to keep the channel of insight open. It takes time to shift into this way of working, So be easy on yourself for any perceived lapses or failures. Your body is primed to show you how to keep on track.
