Time Traveling Practice One Week Into The Future We're going to set our target of where we want to be,
What we want to feel,
What memories we have,
And what our environment is like one week in the future.
A gentle understanding of quantum mechanics will help here.
The past and future both exist in this eternal present moment.
All of them happening at the same time,
All causing and affecting one another.
When you do this exercise,
You are really time traveling and really having an effect on your future.
Go ahead and set your target now.
Imagine what you'd like to accomplish,
Experience,
Or feel just one week in the future.
Time Traveling Practice We're going to start with three cleansing breaths,
Then we'll shift brainwave states from beta to alpha.
Then we'll follow that thread of possibilities that you just tapped into by setting your target.
And we'll travel one week into the future.
You'll have some time to explore,
Then I'll gently guide you back.
You'll have a few minutes of music so you can capture your experience in your journal.
One last thing,
And this is the most important piece.
You're going to make one small commitment,
A promise that when you are there one week in the future,
You're going to come back,
Time travel back in time,
And thank yourself for doing this practice.

Let's get started.
Breathing in and out through your nose.
Take your first breath,
Fill your belly,
Fill your lungs,
And hold at the top.
As you exhale through your nose,
Take as much time as you need.
There's no rush at all.
Take a second deep cleansing breath and hold it at the top.
And as you exhale through your nose,
Taking your time,
See if you can savor something about this moment.
And take a third deep cleansing breath,
Hold at the top.
Exhaling through your nose,
Take your time,
Savor your breath,
And relish this chance you have to be alive.
And now let your breath fall into a regular,
Casual rhythm.
Breathing into the count of three or four and breathing out to the same count.
Hear the sounds in your environment.
Feel the sensations in your body.
See the colors and textures on the back of your eyelids.
And notice the infinite void of space all around you,
Full of information,
Real realities and potentials flickering in and out of your awareness.
And your consciousness can move throughout this space and time.
And following that thread of possibilities that you tapped into by setting your target,
Start to find yourself one week in the future.
And if you've been doing this practice for some time,
You might have the curious sensation of noticing yourself.
Notice yourself as you become aware,
Of one week into the future.
And this is you.
This is your body.
This is your mind,
Your memories and wisdom,
Your sensations and your emotions.
Feel the real emotions that you're having.
And you can start to explore the space that you're in right now.
And you can start to feel the space that you're in right now.
And you can start to explore going through your memories,
Remembering the wisdom.
You can explore your environment,
Check in on loved ones,
Simply relishing in the feelings that you've accumulated one week in the future.
And you can start to feel the space that you're in right now.
Continuing to breathe in and out through your nose in a regular casual rhythm.
Taking just a few more moments to feel and explore this very real future.
And before we travel back,
Look back in time,
See yourself doing this practice,
Spending this time mindfully looking to the future.
And in this future,
One week in the future,
Thank yourself one week in the future.
One week in the past.
And we'll start to come back now.
Feeling the breath of life moving in and out of your lungs.
Feeling this body in this time.
Feeling fully present now as you come back.
When you're ready,
You can open your eyes and take a few moments to capture your thoughts,
Capture any details that you would like.
Write down this experience in your journal.
And now the most important piece of this,
To open up this conduit of energy linking the future,
The present,
And the past,
We're going to commit to doing one small thing.
Something that happened in the future.
Something that we saw clearly.
Now,
This could be anything,
But we're going to make it that small piece of thanking ourselves.
Now,
Write down in your journal,
Like you're making a contract.

To come back and thank myself for this moment of being intentional.
Now,
Sign it and make this moment count.
Make this into a big deal.
Something you would never let slip by.
