Welcome to Day 26,
Your Weightless Mind.
Begin by feeling at home where you are right now.
At home with the sounds and sights around you.
Shift your posture to a comfortable,
Awake position.
And with closed eyes shift your awareness inside to your breath.
Follow the stream of air as you inhale and exhale.
Let your thoughts and feelings fly by in the space of your mind and heart.
How much do your thoughts weigh?
How much do your feelings weigh?
It's kind of a trick question.
Because even if some thoughts and feelings can make us feel down,
Heavy,
Presses down,
Depresses,
Drain our energy,
They are actually all of them weightless.
All of them are actually weightless.
Just like your mind that generates them.
If you follow your breath carefully,
Can you notice that your breath is in fact weightless too?
It's just a stream of air coming and going.
And to notice this quality of weightlessness in your experience can be very helpful when you are feeling weighed down by circumstances.
When you feel too much weight or responsibility on your shoulders.
Just go to your breath,
This weightless air that is flowing in and flowing out.
You can fall weightless,
More and more awake with each breath.
And the opposite.
If you feel blown away by the situations that life presents,
If you feel helplessly drawn to bad habits,
Destructive relationships,
Then find some weight in yourself,
Some stability,
Some inner strength.
Focus on the sensations in your feet.
Your whole body is here right now.
Your feet,
They are lifting it up,
Your whole body.
And so are your hips,
Lifting up your whole upper body,
Starting with your spine.
And rest in this stability in your spine,
This sense of security,
Safety of being with your own body,
Knowing your borders,
Your integrity.
Congratulations,
You finished Day 26 and lost or gained some imaginary weight.
Let's finish by taking a moment of gratitude.
Give thanks for all the good things you have received.
And feel grateful to yourself for all the good deeds you have done for your own and everyone else's well-being.
