Potter MacGilliv database ๏ฟฝ interchange mil๏ฟฝ facility Hello and welcome back to a week of peace.

And today 5,

The moment.

So as we always do,

To make ourselves really comfortable,

Close your eyes and follow my voice as we begin with step 1.

Notice.

Just hold the question here.

How am I today?

And feel what comes back if you like.

Place your hand on the middle of your chest.

This is a soothing gesture.

That's our body know that we're there listening.

And just notice,

Notice how you feel.

And now let's gently shift our focus to the breath.

Step 2.

Breathe.

Just rest your attention now on your inhale and exhale.

Feel how your breath moves in and out of your body.

And if it's comfortable,

Just very slightly extend your inhale and your exhale.

So you're still with your own natural rhythm,

But you're breathing just a little deeper,

Dropping just a little bit closer into that space of peace.

And as you lengthen your breath,

Just imagine now that your breath is moving in and out of your heart.

And the rhythm of your breath and the rhythm of your heart are joining together.

Hold friends,

Familiar and warm,

And just be here for a few moments,

Breathing.

And now let's move to step 3.

Activate.

So much is talked these days about being in the moment,

Being mindful.

But sometimes it's hard to really connect to what that means and our minds can run away full of thoughts about being mindful.

One of the antidotes to this is your physical body and your breath.

Our mind is so often in the future or in the past roaming around,

Whereas our body,

Our body is the only part of us that is always in the present moment.

So let's just slip into that reality of our bodies and breathe slowly and steadily.

And stay very,

Very still and just feel your body where it is.

Notice where your body connects to your chair or to your mat.

Notice where the soles of your feet are,

Where the palms of your hands are.

And be still,

Breathing,

Entirely present in the moment.

Notice the sounds in the room that you are in,

The smell in the air.

Your body is physically,

Absolutely here,

Always.

And it's always inviting you to join it here,

Now,

Together,

Integrated in this moment.

And as you are here,

Just feel the uniqueness of this moment.

The world will never again be exactly as it is right now.

This is truth.

This is the moment.

Welcome.

And now let's move to step four,

Peace beam.

Now in this unique moment,

Hold that wish for unconditional good for yourself and for everyone around you.

And see it beaming out from you,

From the stillness of your body and the power of your breath.

See it changing the atmosphere around you and filling this moment with peace.

And to anchor this practice today,

Make a point of looking up at the sky as often as you can.

Remember that what you see is totally unique to that moment,

That particular in-breath and out-breath.

And smile at the wonder of it.

Thank you for listening and have a beautiful day.

Focussing on the marvel of its uniqueness is the best advice on how to be mindful and aware of the present moment that I have found so far. Thank you for sharing your gift with words in this context. Many blessings to you! ๐ŸŒˆ โ™ฅ ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ
